Ski Brands

Ski BrandsWe have a good selection of new school and old school brands to choose from. Here are some tips from your pals at Level Nine.

People tend to focus too much on brand names these days and not the skis themselves. We get people every once in a while that are dead set on only one company's product (which is kinda ridiculous). If you're one of these people, do not fear. We're here to offer you guidance and counseling.

The first thing to address is that all ski companies should be appreciated for what they bring to our sport. Whether it be years of experience in making quality skis that are constantly evolving and improving through growing technology like with Head or Dynastar; or new and innovative ideas from younger companies like Ninthward or Coreupt. These companies make established brands like Head and Dynastar take notice and maybe even incorporate certain ideas into their own product line. Everyone brings something to the table, and because of this, skiing is being seen and improved in so many different ways. The result is that we get better ways of shredding!

The second and last lesson here is to not be so particular to one brand against another because of whether you "like" it or not. Products change every year and new and better products are being introduced. The decision of whether or not to buy a ski should NEVER be based on what brand it is, but on how well that ski will work for you. You can figure this out based on a number of variables, such as your height, weight, skier ability, strength and endurance, as well as where you like to ski and what you like to ski. Using this information you are sure to find the best ski for you whether it be a gnarly pow ski or an easy on-trail ski.

And as always if you have any question whatsoever on which ski would be best for you, please use our Ski Selector or feel free to contact us via either the live chat above or our toll free number: 1-877-589-7547.
