Photochromic Red Sensor

Smith took its Red Sensor Mirror outer lens and combined it with a light-activated photochromic inner lens to produce one of the most versatile lenses available today. What the inner photochromic lens does is adapt to different light conditions throughout the day. This is a perfect lens for those who will be riding many days with variable light conditions, or where weather can change on the drop of a dime (hello New England skiers!).
Gold Sol-X Mirror
Visible Light Transmission: 7%
Best used in very sunny conditions, the Gold Sol-X lens is the darkest lens Smith produces, with a dark sienna brown tint and multi-layer gold mirror. This lens will reduce glare and reduce eye fatigue in sunny conditions.
Visible Light Transmission: 10%
The Blackout lens is Smith's darkest lens that doesn't have a mirror finish. It has a dark gray base lens tint in order to cut glare and reduce eye fatigue in bright conditions. It doesn't have a mirror finish, but it's still dark enough to measure up against the mirror lenses, not to mention it's also dark enough that other skiers won't see your eyes (just like the mirror lenses).
Green Sol-X Mirror
Visible Light Transmission: 15%
Much like the Gold Sol-X Lens, it is best used in very sunny conditions. It is also a dark sienna brown tint, but with a multi layer green mirror that will reduce glare and eye fatigue in sunny conditions. It is not as dark as the Gold Sol-X, making it a little more of a versatile lens.
Red Sol-X Mirror
Visible Light Transmission: 18%
Much like the Green Sol-X and Gold Sol-X, the Red Sol-X is a dark sienna brown tinted lens with multi layer of red mirror. It's best use is in bright, sunny conditions where it will reduce glare and eye fatigue. It is not as dark as the Green and Gold Sol-X lenses, thus being a but more versatile than both.
Visible Light Transmission: 35%
The Ignitor Mirror is Smith's most versatile lens, usable in pretty much every kind of weather and light. It is designed to reduce eye fatigue while enhancing contrast and depth perception in all conditions. Since it is so versatile, the Ignitor Mirror can be used all season long.
Visible Light Transmission: 36%
This lens combines rose and copper (RC) base tints to create a fantastic universal lens. It improves depth perception and contrast, while cutting glare in virtually any condition. Overall, one of Smith's most versatile, yet simple, lenses.
Visible Light Transmission: 55%
The Gold Lite lens is found mostly in the junior goggles here at Level Nine, but there are some adult models that also have it. A nice multi-purpose lens for moderately bright to flat light conditions, the Gold Lite lens filers reflected blue light in order to improve contrast, shadow definition, and depth perception.
Red Sensor Mirror
Visible Light Transmission: 60%
The Red Sensor lens is best used for low light/cloudy conditions. It has a light rose based lens tint with multiple layers of red mirror to maximize color definition and depth perception in varying levels of flat light. This is a lens that should be mainly used for low-light conditions, as it will be very bright for sunny conditions.
Visible Light Transmission: 70%
Very similar to the Red Sensor lens, but a little brighter for increased performance in low-light conditions. This is a great lens for either very cloudy days, or days where it's snowing. It is not recommended to use this lens when it is bright and sunny, as it is very bright.
Gold Sensor Mirror
Visible Light Transmission: 70%
Incredibly similar to the Sensor Mirror lens, but with a multi layer gold mirror finish for a different look. Like the other Sensor Mirror lenses, it is recommended to only use these lenses in very low light conditions, as it is a bright lens and will most likely hurt your eyes to use in bright sunlight.
Visible Light Transmission: 84%
It's a clear lens, nothing more. It's best used for night skiing, but can be used for incredibly dark, cloudy days. We definitely wouldn't recommend using this lens if the sun is out at all, as it provides little to no protection from light.
