Along with making some of the best outerwear available for adults, Spyder also has an incredible line of winter gear for kids. Unlike most brands that simply have a boy's collection and a girl's collection, Spyder has a total of five children's categories. The five groups are Spyder Mini, Spyder Boy's, Spyder Bitsy, Spyder Girl's, and Spyder Kyds. In this Learn Center page, we'll be focusing on Spyder gear for boy's.
Spyder Mini Gear
Spyder Mini is the line of winter outerwear designed specifically for boys who wear size 2-7. In other words, this is where you need to go to find gear for the toddlers and young children that are learning to ski. Typically, finding jackets for this age group is less of a challenge than finding quality base layers. As a result, we picked up a ton of Spyder Mini fleece layers. For pants, we have the Spyder Mini Momentum Fleece pants. These pants are made from a warm fleece that are sure to keep your little one warm on the slopes, and out of the lodge. We also picked up a bunch of Spyder Mini Speed Turtle Necks. These fleece turtle necks feature a 1/4 zip and also make great base layers for your little guy.
Spyder Boy's Jackets
If you're shopping for a little boy who's bigger than a size 7, then you're in luck, because we got a ton of gear from Spyder's boy's line too. Most notable are the jackets, which are some of the highest quality junior jackets that we've come across. In these boy's jackets, you'll find adult style features, such as google pockets, media pockets, and powder skirts. Take for instance the Spyder Killer jacket. This boy's jacket starts by boasting an impressive 10k/10k Xt.L laminate, coupled with Spyder's own Spylon coating. Essentially, this means you're getting an incredibly waterproof jacket that is on par with most adult jackets. Additionally, the Killer features critically tapered seams to further improve the jacket's waterproofing. Another jacket, the Spyder Leader, features the same waterproofing, with the addition of water resistant zippers and welded construction details (a method of attaching fabric without stitching).

Spyder Boy's Pants
Of course an incredibly waterproof jacket is meaningless without a pair of waterproof snow pants. Fortunately we've got that taken care of too. While we have a sizable selection of Spyder snow pants, the stand out style has got to be the Throw Pant. These pant's match the Killer's waterproof technology, with a comparable 10k/10k laminate. Beyond that, it also has a slew of features, such as adjustable hems, a ton of pockets, and critically taped seams. If you're more into bibbed snow pants, then try checking out the Spyder Avenger boy's snow pants. These pants have an equal amount of waterproofing and insulation, but come with a detachable bib. The Spyder Avenger pants would be perfect for kids who can't stay out of powder. Either the Throw pant or Avenger pant would be an excellent match with any Spyder Killer jacket.

Spyder Boy's Base Layers
Skiing apparel doesn't end with jackets and pants though. Anyone who's been skiing before can tell you how miserable it is when their cotton base layers get wet (and stay wet for an entire day). That's exactly why we just replenished our supply of base layers for boys! The most exciting style of new base layers are pieces from Spyder's Dry W.E.B. line. Products in this line are created using Spyder's Dry W.E.B. fabric, and utilizes capillary action to pull moisture away from the skin, to the surface of the fabric where it can be evaporated. We have Spyder Boy's Dry W.E.B. in two different styles: the Bug Gradient, and the Horizon. No matter which style you pick, you can't go wrong.

Spyder Boy's Accessories
Beyond these items, we have a ton of great accessories for boy's. Everything from hats and gloves to fleeces arrived with this latest shipment. If you're looking for a boy's soft-shell, then check out the Legacy Softshell jacket. This is an awesome soft-shell for youth that is stylish and warm. It's perfect for winter days when you're out and about, but not necessarily on the slopes. Another stand out accessory for boy's are the Traverse Gore-Tex mittens. Not only do these mittens have the standard features that you'd expect from a mitten (ie. adjustable wrists, hand warmer pocket, nose wipe, etc.), but they also feature superior waterproofing thanks to a Gore-Tex membrane that's inserted in the middle of the mitten. These are the answer to keep your boy's hands dry and warm.
