Removable 280g Fleece Liner: This liner is beefy and warm, on milder days you can wear the shell without this insulation. On colder days you will want it, and it can also be worn on its own when you don't need the technical outer shell. 10,000 Waterproof rating: This is a very high waterproof rating, found on the best outdoor gear available. It will keep you dry even in a downpour of rain, and still has the ability to breathe so it doesn't feel like a garbage bag. There are higher rated fabrics, but for average, even above average users, the 10k is more than enough to get the job done.
