Non removable liners have the advantage of being smaller for the same size and the disadvantage of not being quite as easy to dry as removable liners. EVA Footbed: A standard foam footbed that molds to the shape of the foot with pressure and normal use. Integrated Heel Counter: A fancy name for a piece of plastic in the heel that gives extra support. Long Life Tread: Rubber sole that has a high wear, so it will outlast the treks across the mile long parking lots. PVC/EVA shell/tongue materials: Scientific blend (PVC and EVA are both abbreviations of longer chemical names) offers more durability and comfort than other, uh, less scientific materials. PVC Upper: The upper of this boot is a flexible PVC plastic, that feels about like a stiff leather. This material is highly waterproof and resists abuse well. Molded Sole: The sole is a molded rubber pattern to give excellent shock absorption while riding and better traction when walking to and from the lifts. Steel Hardware: The eyelets and other critical parts of the lacing system are made of steel for increased wear.
