Water Shoes

The Helly Hansen water shoes category encompasses sandals, water moccasins, boating, kayaking, and all shoes with an affinity for getting wet.
A very interesting example of a water shoe to look at is the Helly Hansen Shore Hike, available in both men's and women's versions. The shore hike is a prime example of a water shoe because it is slip on, very well vented, and is made of synthetic materials.
Key features of a Water shoe
- Slip on: The boating/deck shoes sometimes have laces, but every other water shoe (or sandal) will be slip-on or have velcro straps or some other way to cinch up the shoe around your foot. Wet laces get frayed and destroyed quickly, and are just a pain in the butt.
- Synthetic fabric and breathable style: Not going to be a lot of leather here. A lot of these shoes use meshed synthetic fabrics to make a shoe that will resist water and dry out very fast.
- Sandals, waterbooties, flipflops: They will all be listed in this category.
