Winter shoes

The winter category houses all the Helly Hansen winter shoes and boots that are prime candidates for activities in the snow, sleet, and cold.
Winter shoes and boots (well mostly boots), are the ones you're going to be wearing in the winter time. Not all of these shoes are made for shoveling snow, take a look at the
Helly Hansen Equipe Boot. These boots are made for winter and cold weather, but they are fashionable and made to be worn in the city, not the countryside. On the flip-side of the coin there is the
Helly Hansen Iglu Boot, that was not made for a night out on the town but instead for doing something outside when its really cold and really icy.
Key features of a winter shoe:
- WARM: A lot of these shoes have ratings to -40 or -51 or -2130913 or whatever. We've spent a lot of time around snow and cold and if it gets down to that cold, you know you're going to need a real cold-weather shoe.
- High leg cuff: Most of these shoes/boots are going to go well above your ankle. Which is probably expected since these are winter shoes, not shoes for a stroll on the beach. Unless that beach is in the Arctic Circle, then by all means stroll on in these boots.
