Dynastar has taken it success in the racing circuit to success in the freeride line with the Legend 8000. This ski has sidewall construction for solid edge hold and cap overlap on the tip and tail for durability. This ski was really meant to be skied hard and at above average speeds. It isn't so stiff that you need to be a pro athlete to be able to turn it, but the ski is enjoyed most when you are really pushing it. It takes a little bit of work to get the Legend 8000 turning at slower speeds, but again, these were made to cruise. The sidecut and waist width are great for the all mountian skiers out there that truly ski all mountian.
The target skier for the Dynastar Legend 8000 is an advanced intermediate to advanced with good to excellent technique. This is a great pick for the west coast skiers that need just one ski to get it all done. This skier also doesn't mind skiing manmade snow (another name for ice) groomers in the early season, powder and crud mid season, and slush in the spring. Although, hopefully you really enjoy skiing 75% off trail and 25% on trail. Oh, just to remind all of you: skiing the slush is the next best thing to skiing powder, in case you didn't know or just forgot.
