Description

Length: 178cm
Sidecut: 104-66-90
Turn Radius: 21m
This is an adult race level ski. It is not the junior model!

The Team Course is a race ski with a Giant Slalom to Super G sidecut. This is a race ski, and is not designed to be used off the groomed trail. It is not an all mountain ski, nor is it suitable for bump skiing. Again, this is a race ski. It is intended to be skied at maximum velocity on very hard snow and ice. The sidewall construction and metal topsheet make this ski heavy and durable, and at the same time, very damp.
The target skier is someone that needs a competition level ski to satisfy their addiction to speed. Just be prepared to get your lift ticket clipped when using these outside of a competition. This is great for racers and those with a need for speed.

Review this model (will popup in separate window.)

This is a stiff ski, so much so that without a steep start you may have to step turn the first gate. It is stable at high speeds, handles chopped up ice around gates quietly (well as quietly as can be expected). They are superb on ice and very hard packed snow, giving you the confidence to really angulate and use "javelin" style turns. On the other hand they are terrible in spring snow, crud, wet snow or powder. In fact I cary mine up the lift with paper between the area's the skis would contact each other and ski them only to the top of the course. By the way if you aren't going to be skiing in a FIS course I wouldn't waste the money. These skis have one purpose, to make wide arcing turns at high speed on hard snow or ice. Free skiing is possible but it is constant work tying to keep your speed in check if there's anyone else in sight, and it will wear you out. These are pure racing skis and as great as they are they are a one trick pony. If you are new to racing or in Nastar I would try another ski. If you are an aggressive USSA or FIS racer, this is a go to ski! Otherwise save your money (on hospital bills) and use the money from these to buy skis you can actually ski on.
