VHMW base (that means fast) With it's fat waist width this ski will power though any snow condition without problem. Its medium to stiff flex holds an edge in firmer snow surprisingly well for how wide the ski is. Most skis in this category are just above acceptable for being a multi-condition, all-mountain ski. However, the Mythic Rider excels in just about every snow condition it is presented with. The only gripe is the lack of agility at slower speeds and in the bumps. But, why would you ski that if there is powder and crud on the mountain anyway?INtegrated PX 12 fluid binding included at no extra charge.
With a powerful release (DIN) range of 4-12 and a wide range of adjustment for different boot sizes, this setup will accomodate any level and any boot. The Fluid binding system allows the ski to flex more naturally and gives the ski a smooth feel while turning. The PX heelpiece offers a wide range of force before it will release. That means the chance of a premature release is minimized. The target skier for this ski is advanced intermediate to expert, and prefers to ski powder, crud, slush and everything else before giving in to moguls and groomed runs. The ski performs best at above average to fast, so if you are not prepared to ski it at these speeds, expect a workout. If you purchase this ski and choose a ski binding below, we will mount the bindings at no charge (including fat brake arms if necessary). If you also buy a boot from us on the same order, we will test and adjust the bindings to the boot so you are ready to hit the slopes out of the box!
