Be sure to check the link below to learn how to get the correct pole size.
The 8602 is the exact same Carbon/Graphite construction as the Goode's 9303 Goode ski poles. It has the same weight, same composite, and same amount of material, however it is spread over a slightly larger diameter than the 9303 poles (they are 10.5mm.) This results in a pole that is slightly stiffer even though is has the same characteristics of not breaking or deforming. Please do not ask if the 8602 and 9303 are the same material, they are. The graphite/carbon (graphite is carbon) wording is confusing on Goode's part (we have asked them to change it), but this really is their best quality pole material. We realize the prices may not make sense to you for a carbon composite pole, but do any Level Nine Sports prices make sense?
As always, all warranties apply.
This ski pole features PHA adjustment: Allows the pole to be adjusted three inches below the maximum height (the listed pole size) and back again to respond to skiing conditions. A small wrench is included for tightening and loosening the grip, which then twists up or down to change the effective pole length. Because of this feature I recommend buying this pole one size bigger than your recommended pole sizing to allow for longer pole lengths in powder while still being correct for your carving.
Additional Info
These poles fit skiers with a height 5'4" - 5'6". Aggressive skiers may want shorter poles and powder skiers may want longer poles.
