The Scout is likely the shortest ski you have been on since you were a kid, but don't let that fool you. This ski is wide and offers more surface area than most skis you see out there today. That translates to an extremely stable ride that is still easy to turn in tight terrain. With the Scout, you will be able to ski the tight trees that everyone else cannot ski with their longer, more cumbersome powder skis. But it doesn't stop there. The Scout performs amazingly well in all conditions, including crud, hardpack, and big open bowls. We have honestly been impressed with the versatility these skis offer. If you are starting to get bored of the same old thing with skiing, try out an Icelantic and make skiing fun again. All Icelantic skis carry a complete 2 year warranty for any possible issue. You won't need it, these beasts are made to last. Of course you get the lowest possible price here at LevelNineSports.com, but you already knew that.
Icelantic skis are handmade to the highest possible specifications. All of us here at the shop are incredibly big fans of these unique sticks. They seem short and they are. They seem fat and they are. They also could be the most fun and versatile skis that exist. We are so stoked on these skis that we have become the largest Icelantic dealer in the world. Though they are insanely fun in all conditions (except ice) they do require a pilot with decent technique to experience full enjoyment. The intermediate skiers in our group (ie. the wives) thought they were fantastic in powder but just ok elsewhere. The guys here at the shop being technically stronger and able to get these fat puppies on edge absolutely freaked over how much fun they were.. EVERYWHERE. Drop and email or give us a call if you have some questions. We know they seem ridiculous, and they are ... ridiculously sweet that is. Twin Tip Skis: Not just for spinning 360s in the park any more. These ski have turned up tails, aka twin tips. While they will definitely aid you in hurling those aforementioned 360s, they also do many other things. They make landing jumps and skiing backwards smoother, but they also ski better in trees and tight situations where the reduced running length add to mobility. In fact the only downside to twin tips is that they don't perform true full arced carving turns as well as traditional skis. But hey, the world has evolved to doing more than simple carving so maybe you should too. |
