These Sunglasses have Polarized lenses. Polarized lenses have long been used by fishermen and boat enthusiasts. The benefits of polarized lenses are carried over to other sports, everyday life, and driving. Reflected light from water, snow, asphalt roads, and cars has a high percentage of horizontal light that enters the eye. This is often referred to as glare. Polarized lenses reduce the glare by blocking the horizontal plane of light that would normally enter the eye. With the aid of polarized lenses, the wearer can see images more clearly with greater definition and higher contrast. Skiers and snowboarders benefit from the polarized lenses because of the intense amount of reflected light coming off the snow.
