The Armada Magic J is a wider version of the ever-popular JJ ski with less taper in the tip and tail. This is Tanner Hall's pro model ski so it was designed in line with his current skiing style and it naturally has a Rasta themed graphic since Tanner loves his reggae music. The Magic J has a 125mm waist with tons of rocker in the tip and tail for a floatacious ride through the deep and a quick responsive turn on the steep. Tanner is one of the original park rat-to-powder junkie converts, so this ski is ideal for trying your luck on a backcountry booter. On the next powder day, pop some Sizzla in your earbuds and let the smooth vibes of the Magic J whisk you away to some of the best turns of your life.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Secret Stash. You have found the secret stash, home to the best deals on the net, these are the best deals from a website of great deals, insane discounts on products we are trying to move out. These products won't last long so be sure to be quick on the trigger.

Ideal Target Skier: Big Mountain Charger: Top speed, all the time, regardless of terrain, obstacles or children in the way, these skiers need stability on par with professional downhill racers. They are usually looking for long skis that are wide and heavy.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Head GTO 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!

EST Freeride Rocker: Rockered tips and tails combined with positive camber underfoot to promote flotation in soft snow and provide remarkable control on groomed runs.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

AR50 Sidewall: Cap in the tip and tail, sidewall under foot that balances performance characteristics with a lower swing weight and increased durability.

We Have Recommended Some Bindings For You: You will notice there is a dropdown menu that says "Ski Bindings" above. These are simply a list of curated bindings we recommend will work best for this particular ski but other bindings will work as well. There are a few factors i.e. brake width, DIN range, ability level that determine an appropriate binding choice, so let us know if you need assistance.

3 Choice Mount Position : The three choices are as follows. Park Mount is where the bindings are closer to dead center on the ski and is best for freeride skiers who want to ski switch a lot of the time. Manufacturer's mount is where the makers of the ski recommend you mount the bindings (usually between park and powder mount). Finally Powder mount is the furthest back on the ski which allows for more tip length and float in powder. If you wish to get more technical on where we mount your skis, please contact customer service.

Fiberglass Laminate Matrix: Deliberate directional layering of fiberglass stringers dictates the flex pattern and torsional rigidity of the ski. Basically, it works with the wood core to give the ski its snap and response.

I have just been able to use these skis for the past few days as we only just started to receive enough snow to use them here in Niseko. Absolutely awesome ski in the pow they float like a boat and are surprisingly nimble in the trees. Maybe a little bit too fat but if you are just a weekend warrior that is searching for the deepest pow or craziest line this is the ski. THIS IS NOT AN ALL MOUNTAIN SKI, this is a deep pow ski, BUT AN EPIC POW SKI. (Posted on 12/29/2015)
