10,000 Waterproof rating: This is a very high waterproof rating, found on the best outdoor gear available. It will keep you dry even in a downpour of rain, and still has the ability to breathe so it doesn't feel like a garbage bag. There are higher rated fabrics, but for average, even above average users, the 10k is more than enough to get the job done.
10,000g Breathability:Not quite like a cotton sweatshirt, but not a rubber suit either, this fabric still does a great job of transporting moisture away from the body so its not a sauna every time it warms up a bit.
Taped seams:For maximum waterproofing, the seams on this piece of outerwear are taped internally. This feature also strengthens the seam and improves the durability.
Leg vents:When it gets pretty hot out, its not the best idea to just drop your pants. So these have zippered slits to get airflow going through the legs to cool things down.
Ankle gaiter: An internal gaiter with elastic at the bottom goes over the boots to keep snow out and the legs warmer.
Internal Waist Adjustment Tabs:Adjustable tabs on the inside of the waist allow for a custom fit.
Ankle Snaps:Cuff snaps open to flare the pant out to fit over boots and add a little extra style to your outfit.
Zippered Hand Pockets:The hand pockets have zippered closure to keep loose change and keys in place.
Jacket to Pant Attachment System:This pant has loops that you can connect velcro straps on the jacket's powder skirt, for a seamless interface that will definitely keep cold air and snow out. Most outerwear brands offer this feature nowadays!
Light Insulation:This piece has a light layer of insulation to add just a touch of warmth and minimize the need for an additional layer. On cold days you will need to augment this with a nice base layer.
