A crowd favorite here in SLC, the Bent Chetler Pro Model returns for another season and is radder than ever. The graphics were designed by Chris B. himself and of course still feature cosmic Tie-Die bases! At a narrower 120mm waist and tip and tail "Powder Rocker" the Bents slay the pow like no other, period. New for this year is HRZN technology, where the tip and tail are shaved and shaped down with ABS material (they look like a boat hull) so the skis float through the pow without snagging your tip during a turn. The carbon stringer gives the ski a stiffness with pop for help launching those pillow lines and back country booters. The Bents have step down sidewall construction which allows them to carve turns on groomers exceptionally well especially for how wide they are. Add to cart and don't look back, you'll be nose buttering like Chris in no time at all.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Head GTO 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on.

Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control.

HRZN Technology: Horizon Technology the future of rockered skis. By blending proprietary technologies of ABS Sidewall construction with revolutionary "across the ski" rocker, Atomic has created the ultimate design for powder skiers. Without sacrificing swingweight, they have added 10% more surface area in the tip and tail and delivered less tip deflection and better tracking through chop snow.

Carbon SPB: SPB stands for Sprocket Power booster, which in other words, is an added layer of carbon that stiffens up the ski for stability at high speeds and it better rebound when coming in and out of turns. It gives you some extra ups while hitting jumps and rails too.

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the the rounded Cap construction forund on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Hybrid Cap/Sandwich Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich constuction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds.

UHM Base: A maintenance free durable base. You may want to wax it up for springtime slush, other than that you can concentrate on other things.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Tail Rocker: Just like Tip rocker, but in the tail, this feature allows the tails of the skis to release easier from the turn to give the skier the ability to turn the skis quicker in tight spots. It also allows skiers to dump speed by forcing the tails out and sliding sideways. The effective edge is reduced because of the tail rocker, so the skis will also be easier to control when forced to ski on the groomed slopes.

ABS Sidewall: ABS provides better edge hold than other materials and construction types. It will also withstand impacts with rocks and terrain features (rails, boxes, your friend) more effectively when compared to cap style construction.

Hybrid Sidecut: This ski has normal sidecut underfoot for edge grip on firmer snow, but has reverse sidecut toward the tip and tail for powder performance. Reverse sidecut gives the ski the ability to smear turns, reduces or eliminates 'hooking' of tips and tails, and with the help of rocker, makes skiing powder easier.

Twin tip skis: are where its at these days. Their versatility allows you to ski powder in the morning, bumps at midday, and session the park in the afternoon. The turned up tail is also optimal for skiing backwards (switch), but for most people, it just looks cool.

We Have Recommended Some Bindings For You: You will notice there is a dropdown menu that says "Ski Bindings" above. These are simply a list of curated bindings we recommend will work best for this particular ski but other bindings will work as well. There are a few factors i.e. brake width, DIN range, ability level that determine an appropriate binding choice, so let us know if you need assistance.

3 Choice Mount Position : The three choices are as follows. Park Mount is where the bindings are closer to dead center on the ski and is best for freeride skiers who want to ski switch a lot of the time. Manufacturer's mount is where the makers of the ski recommend you mount the bindings (usually between park and powder mount). Finally Powder mount is the furthest back on the ski which allows for more tip length and float in powder. If you wish to get more technical on where we mount your skis, please contact customer service.
