The Hawx 2.0 90 is a great boot for aggressive intermediates to advanced skiers looking for a little bit of an ease up from tighter/stiffer boots. 90 flex and a 100mm last allow this boot to be skied fairly aggressively and would pair very well with any all mountain ski. The Hawx series boots have been upgraded this year to have Memory Fit (fully moldable shell and liner), Sole Flex (the boot flexes slightly at the sole for better ski feel) and Thinsulate insulation in the liner. The Hawx is a standard 4 (microadjustable) buckle boot that allows the skier to really dial in their fit for maximum comfort and outstanding performance.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Details

100mm last: A performance width for advanced recreational skiers all the way up to expert level skiers. This is also suitable for skiers with narrower than average feet.

90 Flex rating: This boot has a flex rating in the intermediate to advanced range and is generally too stiff for beginners to lean on properly and too soft for experts to ski at top speeds.

Memory Fit Shell And Liner: This boot can be fully personalized at using Atomic's Memory Fit System to mold the shell, cuff and liner in just minutes. If you are looking for a custom fit, you couldn't ask for more than this.

Sole Flex : The Hawx flex area has moved from the side of the shell to the sole of the boot. This are provides a more natural bending line, promoting better balance, better feel underfoot and more control.

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.

Height adjustable spoiler: A quick adjustment via velcro raises the rear top of the boot to give more support on the back of the leg, or when lowered, gives a little more room and comfort for the skier.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Forward Lean Adjust: The forward pitch or angle can be adjusted on this boot to obtain a more aggressive stance for attacking the hill.

Edge 7000 Buckles: The Edge 7000 buckles are highly durable yet lightweight curved buckles with wide levers for easier opening and closing of the buckles. Each of these buckles is micro-adjustable, and the ladder of the top buckle adjusts to different sizes on the fly, without needing to remove the rivet.

3M Thinsulate Insulation: A lightweight, completely re-engineered liner with 3M Thinsulate Insulation keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions. Thinsulate Platinum surrounds the whole foot while standard Thinsulate is placed in the toe box only.

Great BootReview by John

The Atomic Hawx is very comfortable and cool looking. Easy to put on with the strap and the Velcro strap is open without getting in the way or sticking to my socks.
I've been skiing for a lot of years and wanted to get new boots because my feet have been cold. Level 9 has great education available and I spent a large amount of time researching boots. I bought my original boots years ago at a local ski shop and the "pro" just pulled off a pair of boots and said these would be my size. Those were a full mondo size too big. The Atomic Hawx 'fit like a glove'. My feet are comfortable and stayed warm! I would recommend to anyone that they use the learning features from Level 9 for all their needs. (Posted on 1/24/2017)
