A crowd favorite here in SLC, the Bent Chetler Pro Model returns for another season and is radder than ever. This ski is now part of Atomic's new Backland Series but don't fret, the graphics were still designed by Chris B. himself! At a narrower 120mm waist and tip and tail "Powder Rocker" the Bents slay the pow like no other, period. This ski features HRZN technology, where the tip and tail are shaved and shaped down with ABS material (they look like a boat hull) so the skis float through the pow without snagging your tip during a turn (it also makes for easier buttering, if you're into that sort of thing). The carbon stringer gives the ski a stiffness with pop for help launching those pillow lines and back country booters. The Bents have step down sidewall construction which allows them to carve turns on groomers exceptionally well especially for how wide they are. Add to cart and don't look back, you'll be jibbing like Chris in no time at all.

Details

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Skier Ability: Advanced to Expert: Skipping the blue runs to get to the black runs, but sometimes a little cautious when it gets very steep, or some hesitation when your buddy says, ''You just have to clear those rocks or else you're toast.''

Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on.

HRZN Technology: Horizon Technology the future of rockered skis. By blending proprietary technologies of ABS Sidewall construction with revolutionary "across the ski" rocker, Atomic has created the ultimate design for powder skiers. Without sacrificing swingweight, they have added 10% more surface area in the tip and tail and delivered less tip deflection and better tracking through chop snow.

Carbon SPB: SPB stands for Sprocket Power booster, which in other words, is an added layer of carbon that stiffens up the ski for stability at high speeds and it better rebound when coming in and out of turns. It gives you some extra ups while hitting jumps and rails too.

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the the rounded Cap construction forund on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Atomic Powder Rocker: 20% Tip rocker, 70% camber and 10% tail rocker. Your ultimate pow pow machine.
