The Backland series boots are Touring Specific boot from Atomic. The Carbon version is one of the lightest boots we've ever tried on and they couldn't be any more comfortable. The Free/Lock 2.0 touring switch in the rear offers 74 degrees of mobility which pretty much feels like your hiking in your sneakers. It just gets better with Memory Fit technology for an exact fit by heat molding both the liner AND shell. Now you may be thinking "Atomic makes alpine gear" but we can assure you this boot will ski just as well as it hikes especially with the carbon spine that will transfer power to your skis like a boss. We are really excited to see where Atomic goes with their Touring gear because so far, we're impressed! This is a Touring specific boot only compatible with TLT tech bindings (Dynafit, Marker Kingpin etc).

Memory Fit Shell And Liner: This boot can be fully personalized at using Atomic's Memory Fit System to mold the shell, cuff and liner in just minutes. If you are looking for a custom fit, you couldn't ask for more than this.

Frictionless Pivot: Igus Polymer bushings around the cuff adjustment bolt provide a completely natural movement for effortless ascents.

Free/Lock 2.0: This easy to flip ski/walk switch on the spine of the boot offers 74 degrees of movement with 13-15 degrees adjustable forward lean for skiing downhill.

Carbon Spine: The Spine of this boot is made from Carbon material to get maximum power out with minimum weight added. Plus it just looks cool too right?

Quick Click Tongues: There are two sets of tongues included with each of the Backland Series boots and they are easily interchangeable. Simply unbuckle the boots and they snap on and off without much fuss. Keep it soft for hiking and switch them out for the stiff liner for skiing, it will definitely make a difference!

Cross Lace Buckle: The bottom buckle wraps the foot from three points on the lower shell to hold it securely while hiking and skiing.

Skywalk Rubber Soles: The soles on the bottom of the boot are made of a hard rubber material, preventing wear and improving grip while walking in the parking lot or boot packing/hiking to your turns.
