Volume: 20L/1220 cu in.
ABS BaseUnit Compatible: An ABS (Avalanche Airbag System) Baseunit can be zipped on to this bag sandwiched in between the back panel and the outside of the bag. ABS Units (sold separately) inflate with C02 cartridges and are initiated when the skier is in danger of burial in an avalanche. It is essentially a flotation device for avalanches and can help save your life.
600D Fabric: This heavy duty nylon resists wear and tear, and reduces the risk that sharp edges will cut through the fabric. It is also water resistant, to keep gear dry when inside.
Padded back: Padding, about 1cm thick, with mesh lining gives users extra comfort and protection from hard objects inside the bag.
Chest compression strap: This strap, when correctly positioned, sits just above the sternum, and helps the shoulder straps and bag stay in place during activity. The elastic strip won't restrict movement and breathing.
Hydration pocket: A separate pocket inside the main compartment for a hydration bladder (not included), and a small slit for the hose routing outside of the pack. The shoulder strap also has a plastic clip to hold the hose in place while skiing or hiking.
Water Resistant Coating: The fabric has a coating on the inside of the bag to keep the snow and grime inside the bag instead of allover the back seat of the car. Be sure to air it out when you get home though!
Shovel Blade, Handle and Probe Compartment: There is a pocket on this pack devoted to stowing and securing your most crucial equipment. There are two sleeves for your shovel handle and probe with a larger slot for your shovel blade.
Vertical Ski/Board Carry System: This bag has two straps on the outside of the bag where a board or skis can be secured vertically. A board will use the two large straps in between the bindings while there are two adjustable ski straps on the top of the bag for narrow or fat skis.
Waist Strap: Quick clip with pull tight adjustments help distribute a heavy load over the hips, and prevent the pack from sliding around while skiing.
Ice Ax Carry System: There are two loops located on the bottom of the bag to keep your ax handy while ascending steep faces. Talk about earning your turns!
Helmet Pouch: There is an attached pouch to secure your helmet while ascending without it taking up precious room in the main compartment. You can place your helmet in the pouch, cinch it closed and use the clips to keep it from bobbling around all day.
Live Fit V2 Straps: On the top and bottom of the backpanel (the pad that rests against your back), there are two elastic, neoprene loops that act as suspension system when the bag is fully secured. They help lighten the load and make the bag a whole lot more comfortable.
Skin Storage Compartment: The outermost zippered pocket is a great place to store your skins on your descent. Skins are usually wet from sliding on the snow so this will help keep your sandwich and other belongings nice and dry.
