Metal Fans make sure you read carefully, this isn't named after your favorite band (they only use one R) but this boot will allow you to rock out on the slopes really hard. The Panterra has a 100 flex and a 100mm last, right on the line for upper intermediate to advanced skiers. This boot is similar to the Krypton series with its Cabrio 3 piece shell design, but the Panterra offers a ski/walk mode for more range of motion while hiking as well as a grippy midsole so you don't slip. The Panterra will help bring skiers into the side or backcountry comfortably and efficiently while skiing in-bounds like any other downhill boot!

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.

Variable Volume Fit: The fourth toe buckle was added and developed to permit skiers to regulate overall boot width from a range of 100mm-102mm when closure tension on toe buckle is increased or decreased. Once the VVF has been set you can "Set it and Forget it" and leave it buckled all day long, even if you take your boots off.

Cabrio Design: Dalbello's critically acclaimed 3-piece design is the cornerstone to their freestyle performance lineup. Cabrio boots secure the foot and lower leg in a comfortable way, with a smooth and progressive forward flex. Cabrio boots are great for helping fight against shin bang, and are easier to put on and take off than comparable (high performance, non-cabrio) boots.

100 Flex Rating: This boot is pretty stiff, but not insanely stiff. A boot of this level is pretty good for upper-intermediate to expert level weekend warrior that is looking for something stiff enough to provide high-end response, while being wearable for an entire day of skiing.

Flip Ski Walk: A flip lever at the back spine of the boot has a toggle to switch from Ski or Walk mode. Try to keep it in ski mode while skiing, or it might feel a little funny skiing in the back-seat like its nobody's business! This does make walking around the resort looking for the bar or the kids a little more comfortable.

40mm strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.

Trufit Performer Liner : The middle sibling of Dalbello's Trufit Liner Series combines comfort, precise fit and warmth all in one to make them some of the most high quality liners that come inside boots today.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.

Contour 4 Fit Technology: The shell of the boot is designed to be more anatomically correct than any other. Four parts of the foot are crucial in ensuring a close fitting but comfortable boot. The toes, ankles, heel and width of the boot are shaped in a more natural, ergonomic way.

Dynalink by Dalbello: The middle buckle Dynalink boots is an extra big instep closure band that pulls the heel back into the heel pocket. Where some buckles pull your foot towards the footboard of the boot, boots with Dynalink pull your foot towards the heel of the boot. This is nice because it often means you can get an tight fit without constantly banging your toes against the end of the shell.

No regrets!!Review by MichiganSkier
I am a 6ft 230 LB Michigan skier - I wear a size 10 shoe and bought a 27.5 boot although It was recommended to me to buy a 26.5, however, I tried a 26.5 in store and it was pretty uncomfortable. Michigan means lot's of ice and unpredictable snow conditions. I decided to upgrade ski equipment this month in preparation of the 2017/2018 ski season... replacing boots and skis that were 15-20 years old. These are the only boots I could find for wider feet, at a decent price, in the orange/black colors to match my skis. Very happy with the boots, they seem to be adjustable in every way imaginable... heel lift, all the buckles and be shifted, ski/walk, canting on both sides, last(width) adjustment, etc... I was able to use them once before the snow melted and my feet adjusted after a couple of hours on the slops. I did have an issue with a hot spot inside of my foot giving me some pain issues, however, I discovered that with the turn of an allen wrench I could raise the heel in the boot which created more room for my foot in that spot and took care of the problem. Again, I spent hours searching and trying on boots at a local shop, hours searching online, took the leap to buy these and no regrets. Look awesome, well made, highly adjustable, and they keep my feet warm. (Posted on 3/30/2017)
Poor design, painful to wearReview by seatrey
Terrible boot. Extremely hard to remove the liner for drying. The design places hard metal right above the top of the foot, causing for me painful pressure. I also do not like the 3 buckle system, 4 is better. Half season of use now, and I'm shopping for new boots. (Posted on 2/6/2017)
