Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Description

Details

Adjustable From 28-44in: Kids grow, so we believe their gear should grow with them. Simply twist open the knob and you can easily extend the pole to your desired length. Just tighten it up and you're ready to ski!

14mm Shaft: This pole has a 14mm shaft diameter designed for juniors so it stays straight, strong and durable throughout its long life.

All-Mountain Baskets: Baskets that are big enough for powder and small enough for groomers. Basically they are a medium size that will get the job done well enough in any terrain or conditions.

Junior Size Grip and Strap: Kid's hands are small so this grip and strap are sized down so junior skiers can hold them more comfortably.

Product Questions

Product Questions

I have exactly the same question. I have tried the normal methods of adjustment (twisting the shafts in opposite directions, twisting the plastic cap clockwise to tighten) I cannot get the shafts to hold the length setting.

How do I set the adjustment on these? I can't seem to figure it out. I tried twisting the plastic cap between the two shafts, but they still won't hold in the position I'm trying to set them to.

Wow, just received these poles! I did not expect this great quality for the price! Much more robust than the K2 adjustables. They are more like my Leki adjustable backcountry poles which were much more expensive than these. If only they made an adult size at this price... (Posted on 3/3/2017)

These poles are great! The only thing is, I really should have figured out how to adjust them BEFORE we hit the slopes. My daughter loves the pink and purple:) (Posted on 2/25/2017)

We got these for my now 7-year-old last winter when we felt like she was ready to start using poles. They've held up to a lot of abuse since then and are going strong. They've come loose a few times and have needed to readjusted, but occasionally re-tightening would solve that problem. Lost the cage on one & L9 was great in helping me out. Ended up getting a pair for my 5-year-old too. (Posted on 2/9/2017)

My 7 year old daughter loves these. She's now able to go over all the flat spot at Mammoth. It took her a couple of runs to get used to these, but she skis like a pro now. She absolutely loves them, and it doesn't seem to hamper her abilities. Fully adjustable, pretty light, and strong. (Posted on 2/6/2017)

Takes a bit to learn how to adjust and a lock would be nice... but the price is right and work great for my boys. (Posted on 1/23/2017)

Love the adjustable poles. Super easy to adjust on the fly or to collapse and throw in your backpack if your little skier wants or needs to go without poles. Only down side is the the straps came undone several times throughout the day and the last thing I want to do was to fetch a dropped pole from the woods. Seems like the straps are just a bit short. excellent concept-easy to adaptReview by Gold medallist

So this time my girl has hit the jackpot. She skis all 3 disciplines and medals in all. She has finally found a pole that she can adjust for moguls and then readjust for Alpine and SkierX. This does it all. No lugging 3 sets of poles around! Have had them for only 3 solid weeks and no hint of breakage or thread loss yet. Kinda waiting for it to happen. I was also concerned that they would not be as sturdy because of the 2 separate pieces but they seem to be standing up to the very aggressive skiing and off piste conditions also. Both my engineer husband and I couldn't figure out how to tighten these up once you got the right length. I called customer service at level 9 and he went out to the warehouse and called me back to tell me how they work. Sadly, there were no good instructions that came with it but customer service was amazing. Turn the bottom clockwise to tighten. Brilliant! I was going to send the whole lot back but didn't have to. The poles are great. My granddaughter loved them, even matched her skis, which is soooo important. Only negative I can see is adjusting the length. They should have an easy clamp system instead. Other than that, you can't go wrong with these poles. Look forward to several years of use. (Posted on 3/23/2016)
