Great deal for kids skis. Perfect for beginners. Level9 installed the bindings and had it delivered in less than a week! Was thrilled with their customer service!!
Defiance Skis: Defiance Skis is an American ski company founded solely to provide high quality, durable equipment at realistic prices. Shoppers shouldn't have to resort to a decision between renting or buying used gear, and really shouldn't have to spend $800 equipping a beginning skier! All Defiance products are covered under a Lifetime Warranty not to worry, if anything happens that shouldn't, L9 has gotcha covered. Stay beholden to the big box ski 'sales' if you must, or Defy the Ordinary, the decision is yours and yours alone.
Defiance Lifetime Warranty: Rest easy, this product is covered by Defiance's Lifetime Warranty. We stand by our product and will happily warranty any manufacturer's defects for the life of your sweet Defiance gear. I know you don't have to thank us, we are here to help!
Camber/Rocker: Defiance's Camber/Rocker profile is 80% traditional camber, and 20% early rise, which means that these skis are going to hold an edge, and should be skied mostly on hardpack--but with the raised tips, plowing through crud and powder is definitely do-able.
Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first-timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.
Composite Core: This ski features a composite core, which has a softer flex and is lighter weight than wood cores. Junior, entry-level, and sometimes even women's models have this type of core to make skiing more enjoyable, and less work.
Sandwich Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.
Fiber Tech Wrap: A fiberglass network that surrounds the core of the ski. This technology helps the ski flex evenly, creating a smooth, effortless turn.
Extruded Base: This durable material requires little maintenance and holds wax for a long period of time, so you don't have to wax as often.
SX Toe with TRP System: It looks slick, but more importantly, allows up to 30% greater retention force without compromising safety. There are 4 rollers at the toe that remain flexible (spring loaded) at all times to keep the boot centered and to absorb sharp impacts.
Full Diagonal Toe: Intelligent 180-degree release action both horizontally and vertically. Maximum safety in backwards crash situations.
ABS - Anti Blocking System: A rollable toe pad enabling no friction release for perfect release regardless of boot wear, icing up or dirt.
Duracoating: A protective seal on the binding to help reduce wear for looks and performance.
AFS Junior Anti Friction Slider: The innovative mechanical AFS automatically adjusts to the boot sole height, compensating A/C standards as well as height differences due to icing up, dirt or boot wear.
Compatibility: Both Alpine and Grip Walk Children's Ski Boots
DIN Range: 0.75-4
6-in-1 Fit Technology: Allows this boot 6 sizing adjustments for growing kiddos (in half-size increments).
Micro-Adjustable Plastic Buckles: Not only are they lightweight but they allow you to dial the buckle for a perfect fit.
When adjusting the size of the boot, make sure to always unbuckle the boot before adjusting the size. Use the included lever bar to turn the tab and adjust the size, no other tools should ever be used to adjust the fitting size. Check out our video on how to adjust the boots here.
The one buckle boots (16.0-18.5) are to be used with children's bindings. The two buckle boots (19.0-22.0) can be used with both children and adult bindings
