The Defiance Rolling Double Snowboard/Ski Bag is the Cadillac Escalade of luggage when it comes to traveling with your gear. This bag can fit and protect your gear, without going over the weight limit (be wary of the weight limit when packing though!). We have tested this bag and fit two snowboards (with the bindings removed) or two pairs of skis, poles, a couple helmets, jackets, goggles, gloves and some smaller items. Its actually surprising with the right placement, how much you can actually fit. This bag rolls which is a huge help when you're at the airport and its made from a riptstop nylon that's not only durable, but looks cool too. Rolling gear bags like this one usually start at $100, that's not the case here though, Defiance is all about quality at an affordable price.

Description

Details

A pair of wheels at the bottom corners of this bag allow it to be dragged anywhere, which is nice once two boards, boots, and a bunch of equipment weigh it down.

600D Fabric: This heavy duty nylon resists wear and tear, and reduces the risk that sharp edges will cut through the fabric. It is also water resistant, to keep gear dry when inside.

Double Stitching: This bag has double stitching at the critical seams of the bag along the zipper and to attach the bottom of the bag. This ensures the bag won't tear apart under normal use.

Organization is key when it comes your gear bag and this bag has got you covered. There is one main compartment for your boots and two zippered external pockets for smaller items like your gloves and goggles.

Heavy Duty Zipper : The zipper is the most important feature on a bag, we have made sure that this zipper is very strong and durable to help avoid problems down the line.

A clear pocket on the end of the bag where you can slide in an ID card with your information just in case.

Drain Ports: Small metal rivets on each end of the bag that will help moisture and water escape, helping keep your skis dry while in transit.

Waterproof lining: A waterproof lining keeps the water and grime from ruining the rest of the bag, and two drain ports help the bag breathe and dry out.

Product Questions

Product Questions

Does the bag have cinch straps if it's only being used for one pair of skis? Would it be possible to post a photo of the interior?

Love your bags - have 5 already and need another large ski bag but I'm concerned about the 180cm size on the Defiance Rolling Double Ski Bag. I haven't owned skis under 180cm since jr. high .... will these fit normal sized men's skis? For reference, I have a pair of Armada JJ2.0's @ 185 and Atomic Automic's @ 193. I'm hoping/assuming the rocker profile and curved tips/tails means the 193's would still fit just fine ... correct?

Thanks much

1) Does this bag have a "shoulder" carry strap (or provisions for shoulder carry)?

2) Is there a "padded devider" to separate your skis?

3) What are the overall dimensions of this bag?

Thanks

Rollling Ski Bag Rocks!Review by CHS

L9 went above and beyond to get this ski bag to me. I needed it to transport gear from coast to coast. It's sturdy w/ample room for skis, poles and boots, plus easy to move around on it's wheels. L9 is a great company, w/ excellent service. This is a functional high tech bag that does the job and then some:) (Posted on 1/6/2017)
Nice but zipper design flawReview by Little Cloud Powderhound

Huge bag. Perfect for packing in extra gear. The zipper going around the sides on top and bottom is a serious design flaw. It is at this point they tear easily and in my case on the 3rd time I used it. If zip down the middle like others this would not be a problem. It is not the zipper themselves it is how it is sewn into the material it just cannot take the weight of the inside contents before tearing away from bag on just the corners. Biggest bag I have found but the zipper issue says look for something better. (Posted on 3/30/2016)

Very happy with this ski bag. Big enough for my boots and the skis are strapped in with sewn in straps. Can probably get all my gear into this bag. Very happy customer

Decent bag for the priceReview by Kocho

Can't complain - for the price, this bag is good. But the internal straps for the skis are not great and the padding is a bit thin. There are two pairs of straps inside, each with a clip buckle. They don't look very sturdy and are not easy to adjust the tightness precisely. There is nothing inside to separate the two pairs of skis and poles and whatever else one stuffs inside.

There are two large outside pockets that might hold one large ski boot each or a ski jacket/pants, or some other such items. I would not thrust valuables with these pockets though, because there is no way to lock these zippers and I suspect a zipper might open accidentally while the bag is being dragged. There is also a small center pocket near the center handles.

I managed to comfortably put 1 pair of moderately wide skis with bindings in the one half of the bag, and 3 pairs of skis back to back, without bindings, in the other half, and 3 pairs of ski poles. The bag now weights a couple of lb shy of 50lb. So if one adds boots or anything else of substance, the pack will exceed the typical 50lb limit for airline travel checked bag. I had to carry the 3 sets of bindings separately as they weight too much to put in the bag with the skis. It might be OK for two pairs of skis with bindings and poles and one pair of boots and some clothes for padding and still stay within the 50lb weight range (and if the boots and skis are shorter and lighter, if might hold two full sets (but not for my large skis and boots - they weigh too much and take too much space).

The rollers are large and with 176cm skis inside that fill the bag end to pretty much, the bag rolls nice and sturdy. If your skis are shorter, the end of the bag near the pulling handle will be bending up while you roll it.

The main zipper is not very smooth and it is hard to say how it will last over time.

Overall, a good setup for the money, as long as your skis are no longer than 180cm for the long version of the bag. (Posted on 3/21/2016)

Ordered on a Monday received on Friday it's a good solid bag
With all the zippers and internal straps good to go. One Thing to note.. fresh out of the package this bag has a pretty strong industrial odor that needs a few days airing. (Posted on 3/17/2016)

Needed a skibag to travel with 3 pairs of skis on a plane across the Atlantic. Size was perfect and bag protected the skis on this journey. Happy with this purchase and would recommend to others. (Posted on 12/30/2015)
