The Dynastar Glory 79 Ski is a well balanced blend of versatility and easy turning that's a great option for intermediate lady skiers. The 79mm waist tells us that the Glory is intended for on-piste but the 5 point shape with tip rocker will allow for easy turning in soft snow off piste. This is definitely one of the sleeker women's designs we've seen in a while and definitely draws some inspiration from the free ride crowd. The matching Xpress 11 bindings come included and are adjustable to most ladies boot sizes. The Glory days are no longer in just the past, everyday will be glorious on this excellent Dynastar Ski! FYI, since we ran out of bindings for this ski, you have a choice between white or black bindings.

Description

Details

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.

Tail Rocker: Just like Tip rocker, but in the tail, this feature allows the tails of the skis to release easier from the turn to give the skier the ability to turn the skis quicker in tight spots. It also allows skiers to dump speed by forcing the tails out and sliding sideways. The effective edge is reduced because of the tail rocker, so the skis will also be easier to control when forced to ski on the groomed slopes.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

5 point Sidecut: This ski combines tapering sidecuts in the tip and tail with traditional sidecut underfoot that prevents hooking and overturning in deep snow.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Ideal Target Skier: East Coast Hardpack Lover: This is an excellent ski for East Coast skiers that ski aggressively on the hardpack while still getting off trail a bit. West Coast skiers: this is a carving ski that should only be brought out when the powder is gone and its time to rip the groomers.
