Description

Details

The Amphibio 84 Ti's are stiff, fast, extremely versatile, but surprisingly accessible for such a technologically packed ski. At 84mm underfoot, this ski will be a great everyday resort ski for advanced to exprerts. It is totally content with carving hardpack all day, but floaty enough for some powder and sturdy enough for some crud. Take a look at the tech details lower down on the page, this ski has a bunch of new technologies that we don't have room for in this blurb!

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount your ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Weekend Warrior/Charger: These skiers were once upon a time ski bums, or very proficient skiers in college, then landed an internship that led to a 70 hour work week and a spouse and 2.5 kids. They are still great skiers, and ski hard every chance they get on steeps, moguls, powder... whatever they can get their hands on.

RST Sidewalls: Very thick, durable and strong sidewalls will help the skier maintain power through turns and through a variety of snow conditions.

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the the rounded Cap construction forund on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

ELX 11 Binding Included: These skis come with an Elan ELX 11.0 binding included. The ELX is a fusion binding that utilizes a secure sizing mechanism that locks into place, preventing the bindings from sliding out of place. These bindings will compliment your Amphibio ski quite well. The din range goes from 3-11 and is adjustable to almost any boot size.

Amphibio Rocker Technology: Elan's Amphibio Rocker is a groundbreaking design, wherein the edge of the outside ski has a stable flat camber, great for holding edges on hardpack; and the edge of the inside ski is rockered in both the tip and tail, giving it a more surfy, easy and playful feel. The purpose of this technology is to give you a ski that is extremely fast and stable on hardpack without being painfully difficult to maneuver, as well as giving the outside edges a nice surfy feel when making turns in soft snow.

Right and Left Ski : Since this ski features Amphibio Rocker (explained above) these skis have a designated right and left that is labeled above the toe piece to ensure the skis do their intended job effectively.

Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Double Titanal Layering: This ski features two layers of Titanal metal alloy, one just above the base, one just below the topsheet. This gives the ski extra stiffness and strength while creating a dampening, or shock absorbing, effect to the ski. This is usually found in the highest grade of racing and competition level freeride skis.
