The Elan Puzzle TBT ( it doesn't stand for Throwback Thursday) is a versatile Twin Tip that's great for Terrain Parks, groomers and the occasional tree run. The Puzzle has "Triple Base Technology" where the base is raised down the middle of the ski in the tips and tails for a catch free ride in any snow conditions. This technology combines the control of camber with the fluidity of rocker to make for a maneuverable and stable ride on any terrain. Whether your lapping the park at Breck or the back bowls at Vail, the Puzzle is an excellent choice for any upper intermediate to expert skier.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: All Mountain Park Rider: Skiers that go anywhere on the mountain, and still make trips through the terrain park enough to require twin tips, describe these skiers. They are not afraid to skip park sessions to ski deep powder, but are torn sometimes for their love of hitting rails and jumps in the park.

TBT Freestyle: TBT technology brings you catch-free experience when you are shredding in the parks. With this technology switch take-offs and buttering onto rails can become a reality and the easiest way how to boost your skill to the level of pros! The biggest benefits of our innovative technology are catch-free landings when taking on big jumps and rails due to the lifted edges. TBT also provides you with better pop when you need it and keeps the skis stable when speed is high!

TBT Triple Base Technology: Triple Base Technology consists of 3 base inclinations, flat in the middle and lifted on the sides. Lifted edges provide catch free rides in powder or in park while middle flat base with camber profile provides power pop for safe landings and take-offs.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the the rounded Cap construction forund on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

SST Sidewall Construction: SST construction combines the durability and rigidness of cap construction with sidewall construction for more power and edge grip to form a unique hybrid sidewall design.

Tri-axial Fiberglass: A weave of fiberglass with three directional orientation provides excellent strength to weight ratio and better torsional stiffness as compared to bi-axial weaves.

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Head GTO 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!
