The Erbacher Silver Cat is a quality made ski that was built by Elan Skis in Europe. We have carried many different skis made in this same factory and they have proven to be durable and well built. The Silver Cat is a step up from the Blue Cat with a slightly stiffer flex, it is a little wider (74mm) and has sidewall construction underfoot. This ski is still a fantastic choice for skiers in the intermediate category but beginners might want to choose the Blue Cat instead. This ski will turn on a dime especially since it has a nice hourglass shape with early rise in the tips. The Silver Cat is sleek looking as well and will slink its way down pretty much any terrain, but its natural habitat is most definitely groomed runs.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Progressing Intermediate: This skier is pushing the limits of the intermediate badge, and getting off trail and figuring out how to get comfortable at higher speeds through variable terrain.

Speed: Moderate: The speed at which an intermediate skier travels, Moderate means they like to ski faster than beginners, but are never the fastest skiers on a run.

Early Rise: Somewhere between rocker and traditional sits the Early Rise. This helps the tip of the ski get up in softer snow, and still maintains good edge grip and firm snow performance.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Sintered Base: The material used for the base is harder, and therefore more durable than other options (Extruded). This material should be waxed regularly for best performance.

Hybrid Cap/Sandwich Construction: This ski features Cap construction at the tip and tail for added durability and to reduce topsheet chipping, and has Sandwich constuction underfoot for greater edge hold and power through the turns. Its the best of both worlds.

We Have Recommended Some Bindings For You: You will notice there is a dropdown menu that says "Ski Bindings" above. These are simply a list of curated bindings we recommend will work best for this particular ski but other bindings will work as well. There are a few factors i.e. brake width, DIN range, ability level that determine an appropriate binding choice, so let us know if you need assistance.

What is Erbacher?: The Erbacher skis name has been around since the 60's and has stuck around on and off at least in Europe since then. Well, Erbacher is now available from your friends at L9! Hi,i would like to purchase this product but i don't know do you mount the binding into the ski for me,if yes my ski boot size is 26.5(atomic)....thanks Liem nguyen
Hi I currently ski in NZ Turoa/Whakapapa on Defiance 150s, mostly upper mountain and some off trail (prob upper intermediate). We are coming to Utah and then going up to Whistler for skiing in a month. Would these Silver Cat skis be appropriate and comparable (although a little longer if 155s) to what I use now but good for conditions likely over there? Thanks

Great Skis at a Great PriceReview by cosmoliu
I was looking for the most cost effective solution to buying skis for both my granddaughter and her mom, who have progressed beyond the usefulness of rental gear. I can't ski them directly, but skiing just off my granddaughter's tails, I can see that she is carving nice arcs on hard snow. Don't get stuck on the price: these are seriously well built skis that perform. (Posted on 3/26/2015)
Why did I wait so long???Review by never too old
These skis rock! I must have called and bugged the guys at level nine at least 5 times with a million questions. I was changing from a longer straighter ski. Why did I wait so long my skiing improved the moment I hit the slopes. They are pretty and will go with anything I wear. 5'6" 135lbs 51 years young female. bought the 165 size ski. Amazing quality!! Great skis!Review by Matt
My 13 year old son had fun on these skis right from the first second. His confidence improved immediately and he loves to be out there all day long. He is 5'2" and about 90 to 95 and an upper-intermediate skier. The skis seem to be the perfect fit. (Posted on 12/28/2014)
