The Fischer Soma Progressor 11 is a boot where comfort and performance sing in harmony especially with the Vacuum Fit Feature. That's right you can take these boots to your local Fischer Vacuum Dealer and both the shell and the liner can be molded to your feet for a fee. You don't need to mold them though, since they can be worn right out of the box no problem. Before molding, the P11 has a 100mm last and a 110 flex which means they aren't insanely narrow and but stiff enough for some really aggressive skiing. The On/Off Piste Spoiler is a key feature on this boot which is adjustable simply by pulling on the rubber strap on the back of the boot. These boots are also built ready for a heating system so if you are into that sort of thing, Fischer has got you covered.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Details

Vacuum Fit Not Required: This boot sports Fischer's Vacuum Fit Technology and there is the option of going through the molding process at a local Fischer dealer for a fee or we can mold the boots for free if you come to our SLC store. However, the boots can be skied right out of the box without hindering any performance or fit. Of course, the Vacuum fit is great, but if you slip the boot on and it feels good, then go ski it!

Fischer Vacuum Fit System: This proprietary heat molding system from Fischer allows skiers to get a 100% guaranteed fit by molding the shell and liner in just 20 minutes at a certified Fischer Dealer. The process uses heat, cooling pads, air pressure and a special Vacuum Fit Stand that ensures a precise fit for the entire boot.

110 Flex Rating: This boot is too stiff for beginners, and would be a very aggressive fit for intermediates. 110 flex is going to be a stiff and performance oriented shell that is recommend for advanced/expert skiers who need a very responsive boot.

Find a Vacuum Fit Dealer: Follow to locate the closest Fischer Vacuum Fit dealer that will be able to mold your boots you purchased from L9.

95-105mm Last: Right out of the box, this boot has a 100mm last which offers an expertly performing low-volume fit. Boots of this last width can run the gamut from very tight fitting to reasonably comfortable, but they will all fit much much tighter than a rental or intermediate boot. Through the Vacuum Fit Process, the shell can mold between 95-105mm depending on your foot width. This mold-ability opens this boot up a much wider range of foot widths than ever before.

Seamless Slider: Smooth material on the inside back of the liner to help the foot slide in and out of the boot with less effort.

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

Full Thermo Fit Liner: Body heat activates the material in this liner to shape to the skier's foot faster than a standard liner. The insulation also has heat reflective properties to keep the warm in, and the cold out.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Height adjustable spoiler: A quick adjustment via velcro raises the rear top of the boot to give more support on the back of the leg, or when lowered, gives a little more room and comfort for the skier.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

45mm Strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.

SOMA-Tec: The positioning of the feet in a SOMA boot is in a natural 'V' shape, with the toes pointed slightly outward, and the heels slightly inward. This positioning puts the skier's center of gravity over the middle of the ski for better control and edging power. This design also creates less stress on the knee and ankle joints.

On/Off Piste Mode: The boot can be adapted according to the respective snow conditions. Removed spoiler for more forward lean and hard piste conditions (On Piste Mode). Lowered spoiler for less forward lean for deep snow and soft piste conditions.

Full Custom Thermo Toebox: The elastic toebox in special neoprene and lycra offers better warmth insulation and ideal fitting for the individual forefoot width.

Ultralon Heel/Ankle Padding: Perfect heel fit and direct power transfer through the thermo-adjustment of the ankle padding. This material is ideal for the Vacuum Fit process and ensures a comfortable, snug fit in the heel of the boot.

great boots for a expertReview by chairman dale

i bought these back before the current season, they are a 110 flex and easy to get inn and out of, i can not recommend them more. I am a X ski instructor who ski's at deer valley at least 35 times a season and they are excellent boots!- Fit is perfect with the vacuum fit that L9 performed, i moved down to these as the fit is perfect and easy, you do not need the stiffness to ski with comfort. After narrowing down my picks called the L9 cust service boys. I could tell right off they first hand product knowledge of each of the boots on my list and the Fischer 11 matched up tbest with the qualities and characteristics I wanted. I was apprehensive for sure but knew they were spot on after the first day out on the snow. Comfort, control and warmth were as advertised. (Posted on 2/10/2017)
Not impressedReview by DWC

I wasn't impressed with Fischer boots at all. I bought these and a women's model for me an my wife because I thought their soma foot position would help our knees, etc. However, I guess it is all marketing. I am very analytical and checked carefully my foot position in these boots. Honestly, there was little to no difference between these and every other brand of boot I have tried. Furthermore, the fit and finish on the boots were pretty terrible. The liner material was probably the cheapest I have ever seen in a boot...to the point of having cheap vinyl on them. Basically, not impressed and will never look at another Fischer boot again. (Posted on 4/15/2016)
I love this boot!Review by DC Dave

I'm an intermediate PMTS, skiing 30-40 days a year in WV. For me, perfect fit (w/o having them fitted), tight the first week, then the liner conformed to my foot. My only complaint is that they are colder than my old big Dalbellos, but that's to be expected since these are much tighter with more control. (Posted on 2/15/2016)

Just Wow!Review by Bryan

These are incredible boots...The custom fitting of the Fischer system allowed me to ski in total comfort all day from the first day I had the boots, feet were nice and warm all day, so so so much better than rentals and a previous pair of Atomic Live Fits that I used once. I am just as impressed and comfortable as I could be and I highly recommend these boots. Fit process was $100 from a local shop, fit guaranteed for life, can rebake if I am not happy but the fit from the start and first few days of skiing them is just incredible, i cannot say enough and at this price point is just phenomenal.
