The Fischer Soma Progressor 13 Vacuum combines race performance with all-day comfort all in one boot. This boot features Fischer's Vacuum Fit molding system that can adapt both the liner and shell of the boot exactly to the skiers foot and leg. This unique molding process makes for one of the most precise and comfortable boot fits on the market today. However, the P13 can be skied, un-molded, right out of the box. This boot has a stiff 130 flex rating that provides sufficient support for aggressive skiing while the 100mm last (that can mold up or down from 95-105mm) offers a bit more width for added comfort without going overboard. We recommend this boot to advanced to expert skiers who want to move away from racing lasts and discomfort but still want a stiff, responsive flex.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Vacuum Fit Not Required: This boot sports Fischer's Vacuum Fit Technology and there is the option of going through the molding process at a local Fischer dealer for a fee or we can mold the boots for free if you come to our SLC store. However, the boots can be skied right out of the box without hindering any performance or fit. Of course, the Vacuum fit is great, but if you slip the boot on and it feels good, then go ski it!

Fischer Vacuum Fit System: This proprietary heat molding system from Fischer allows skiers to get a 100% guaranteed fit by molding the shell and liner in just 20 minutes at a certified Fischer Dealer. The process uses heat, cooling pads, air pressure and a special Vacuum Fit Stand that ensures a precise fit for the entire boot.

130 Flex Rating: Higher than average stiffness means you should be skiing pretty fast to warrant a boot of this flex.

Find a Vacuum Fit Dealer: Follow to locate the closest Fischer Vacuum Fit dealer that will be able to mold your boots you purchased from L9.

95-105mm Last: Right out of the box, this boot has a 100mm last which offers an expertly performing low-volume fit. Boots of this last width can run the gamut from very tight fitting to reasonably comfortable, but they will all fit much much tighter than a rental or intermediate boot. Through the Vacuum Fit Process, the shell can mold between 95-105mm depending on your foot width. This mold-ability opens this boot up a much wider range of foot widths than ever before.

Seamless Slider: Smooth material on the inside back of the liner to help the foot slide in and out of the boot with less effort.

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

Micro-adjustable alloy buckles: These alloy buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Full Thermo Fit Liner: Body heat activates the material in this liner to shape to the skier's foot faster than a standard liner. The insulation also has heat reflective properties to keep the warm in, and the cold out.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Hotronic Prepared: The liner is prepared to accept a Hotronic boot heating system. Just thread the heat cable through the liner and attach the battery pack. Hotronic not included, of course.

45mm Strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.

SOMA-Tec: The positioning of the feet in a SOMA boot is in a natural 'V' shape, with the toes pointed slightly outward, and the heels slightly inward. This positioning puts the skier's center of gravity over the middle of the ski for better control and edging power. This design also creates less stress on the knee and ankle joints.

On/Off Piste Mode: The boot can be adapted according to the respective snow conditions. Removed spoiler for more forward lean and hard piste conditions (On Piste Mode). Lowered spoiler for less forward lean for deep snow and soft piste conditions.

Full Custom Thermo Toebox: The elastic toebox in special neoprene and lycra offers better warmth insulation and ideal fitting for the individual forefoot width.

Ultralon Heel/Ankle Padding: Perfect heel fit and direct power transfer through the thermo-adjustment of the ankle padding. This material is ideal for the Vacuum Fit process and ensures a comfortable, snug fit in the heel of the boot.

Finally A Fantastic BootReview by Mike B

Bought these from a local ski shop and was totally amazed at the great fit and ski ability of these boots. I've tried custom boots by several Colorado shops as well as heat molded liners from local shops. All to no avail. Never totally satisfied with a boot until these. The Vacuum fit process took a while but was worth it. The technician had me try the boots on and buckled them up. Walked and flexed in them for several minutes. Then took them off and he looked for hot spots (red places that might be uncomfortable). He padded those spots and then had me put on my socks over that as well as a toe cap. After heating the shell he had me put the boots on, did the cooling and vacuum process. Overall an hour plus process but well worth it. The boots fit perfectly. Skied in them this week and had no uncomfortable spots. Plenty warm because there is room for your toes to wiggle. Also plenty of additional adjustment room left to compensate for any packing down of liners or to get that extra bit of tightness for performance. I'm a 70+ skier that likes going fast. Got these up to 53 mph and felt like they gave me total foot to boot to ski contact. Amazing. And they are easy to get on and easy to get off ... even when very cold. This is of extreme importance to us "older" folks. We aren't as flexible as we used to so it is critical that we can get in and out of the boot without pulling anything (LOL). Anyhow, after several thousands of dollars experimenting with boots, I'm in love with these and have found a boot for life. Good job Fischer! (Posted on 2/28/2016)
better than salesman thoughtReview by Progressor 130 by Fischer

Salesman wasn't very excited to sell fischer boots thought they misrepresent flex stiffness and almost talked me out of them due to my size and ability. I am expert level, 210 lbs., 6'3", 37yrs experience. I agree boots feel very-very soft in the showroom at room temp. But at slope temps they are the stated flex. I purchased the Progressor 130 and it is every bit a 130 flex. In addition they really do maintain their flex at all slope temps. I have skied warm 32 degree days down to -7 degree days this season and the flex remains constant. Overall the best performance boot I have ever had in all conditions. The best fitting boot I have ever had (I am also a hard fit). The only concern is that it is probably a bit cold for some but there is a mount should you want a boot heater. (Posted on 12/29/2015)
