Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Fischer Ranger Kid Skis are the golden ticket to a mountain of fun for your jr shredder this season, and for seasons to come. With its adjustable system bindings, even if your jr's foot grows you will be able to use this ski with many different sized boots. Fischer makes a quality ski, and this translates to the Junior line as well. These skis will be able to stand up to all the abuse a young skier can dish out. The ski flexes well and urges the skier into the right position to make a nice carve. This is a great ski for any young skier looking to take their first run or their first run down that black diamond. Fischer Ranger 60 is a great children's boot made for those kids that shred the groomers and plow through pow. This boot features a 99mm last suitable for a comfortable fit on a jr foot. Ranger 60 offers a 60 flex making this boot great for intermediate to advanced young skiers who need some support from their boots. Give your junior what they need to be who they want on the mountain, Fischer makes a great boot and this is your chance to outfit your child with the best.

  • Skis
  • Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Aeroshape Construction:The patented Fischer Aeroshape technology makes the tour ski much lighter and, thanks to the special core and surface construction, also far more stable. This is how a Fischer Aeroshape ski offers you better climbing performance together with improved downhill performance.

Sintered Base: The material used for the base is harder, and therefore more durable than other options (Extruded). This material should be waxed regularly for best performance.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Skier Ability: Beginner to Intermediate: Versatile enough to handle first time skiers all the way up to seasoned intermediates.

  • Boots
  • Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

101mm Last: A performance width for advanced recreational skiers all the way up to expert level skiers. This is also suitable for skiers with narrower than average feet.

Supercomfort Liner: Dalbello's Supercomfort liner is super comfortable. It is fairly basic, but thats fine since you will find it in more entry level boots. And also it is super comfortable, did we mention that?

Plastic Buckles: The lightest and easiest to snap on buckles that Head produces.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.
