The Slingshot helmet from Giro has a very lightweight but durable design that will keep your kid's noggins not only protected, but comfortable and warm at the same time. It is lined with a soft, cozy material and each size is adjustable to a range of head sizes allowing you to really dial it in for the best possible fit. This Giro youth ski helmet is available in a couple different colors, so you can be sure that you'll find one that your kid won't want to take off after trying it on. The Tracer goggles from Scott are kid specific, but that is mostly just because they are small to fit kid's faces. The goggles themselves use the same quality lightweight and durable plastic for the frame, and use the same Scott TruView dual lens that many of the adult models use. While these are simple goggles, the dual lens has been treated with the anti-fog lens treatment, and when combined with their passive ventilation system, you can be sure these won't fog up while skiing. These goggles will fit your kid until he or she grows into an adult sized noggin (which is usually like age 11 or 12 ish), at which point its time to log back onto L9!

In-Mold Technology: A lightweight shell surrounds the injected foam, and makes the helmet up to 30% lighter than hard shell counterparts.

Safety Standards: ASTM F-2040-00: Meets the standard specifications of protective headgear for snowsports

In Form Fit System: A dial at the lower back of the helmet can be turned tighter or looser to get a custom fit. This also improves the safety of the helmet, as a better fit means the helmet is less likely to slide around during a crash.

Soft ear flaps: These ear flaps are soft, and not removable from the helmet. The soft design helps in comfort, and is a little easier to hear when compared to hard ear flap helmets.

Passive vent: A permanently open vent allows for continual air circulation to prevent overheating. Don't worry, snow won't get in because of the lining on the inside of the helmet keeps the elements out.

Goggle clip: Two lateral guides that keep the goggles in place, and doesn't interfere with the goggle adjustment clips.

Sticker Pack Included: There is a sheet of fun stickers included in the box so you can personalize your helmet, skis, poles, boots or whatever else you think needs decoration.

Lens May Appear Differently in Person: Goggle lenses (especially mirrored tints) are a bit tricky to photograph so this is just a disclaimer to let you know they may appear differently in person than they will the product page. We do our best to accurately depict what the lens looks like but sometimes even the manufacturer photos are a little off. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us because we'd love to help you pick out some goggles!

Single Layer Face Foam: Soft, hypoallergenic foam is used for all the foam that contacts the face. This foam helps create a seal to keep the elements out.

No fog treatment: This lens has been treated to reduce or eliminate the chance of them fogging up from a build up of moisture.

Helmet compatible: The strap is longer to fit around helmets, as well as hats, without stretching it to the max. Helmet compatible goggles also try to place the adjustment clips off center to not interfere with goggle clips that are on the back of most helmets. The shape of the frame also sits well with most brands of helmets.

100% UVA/UVB Radiation Protection: Optically engineered to screen out 100% of harmful UVA/UVB rays, so you can ski in the bright sun all day without frying your eyes!

Scott TruView Technology: SCOTT TruView lenses are lightweight and block 100% of harmful UV rays. TruView lenses pass SCOTT’s strict testing procedures delivering high quality, performance lenses in select SCOTT goggles.

Amplifier Lens: The patented Amplifier Lens increases clarity, contrast, and definition through a sophisticated light transmission process that matches the optimum absorption wavelengths of the eye. Translation? The amplifier lens are designed to be used in all conditions, if you want a sunlight specific lens look for a chrome lens, if you want a lens that does better in cloudy or night conditions find a goggle with clear, night, or light amplifier lens.
