Just about the highest shock absorption, lightest weight, and sleekest look can all be found in Goode's Pure Carbon Pole. As indicated by the name, this is a pure Carbon Fiber pole, not just any Carbon Fiber but Goode Patented Carbon, so you know its good. This 10.4mm diameter pole is damn near unbreakable, and lighter than (almost) anything else on the market. If you're a serious skier that uses serious equipment, these are the serious ski poles.

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Taper Shaft: The shaft of this pole starts at the grip with a diameter of 12.7mm, then tapers down to the tip of a diameter of 10.4mm. This provides a stiffer flex and greater strength than the non-tapered 10.4mm poles, and adds only a slight amount of weight.

Ice Breaker Tip: A sharp, yet durable tip doesn't slip on firm snow to get solid plants for turning and pushing along the flats. Keep in mind that they are sharp, so use caution during pole jousting matches.

Rubberized Grip: Pads of softer rubber ensure a solid interface between a pair of gloves and the pole handle.

Ultra Thin 10.4mm Diameter: Ultra Thin 10.4mm diameter: Almost pencil thin, this shaft reduces aerodynamic drag, and has natural shock absorption to take the edge off when skiing ice, not to mention that this pole is incredibly light!

Interchangeable Baskets: These poles do not come with wider baskets, but they are compatible with any Goode pole basket from the last few years, so if you have powder baskets on an older set of Goodes, you can re-use them with these poles!

Adjustable Nylon Strap: A nylon strap with easy adjustment ensures the poles don't get away from you after jumping off that big cliff on the backside of the mountain. Or with some imagination, they can help you carry a pair of skis.

Carbon Fiber Construction: Carbon fiber's strength to weight ratio makes this material highly desirable for gear heads, but is quite functional in the skiing world. These poles have a very low swingweight, have excellent shock absorption, and are super strong.

PHA Grip: Stands for Precision Height Adjustment, and gives the skier the chance to dial the grip to the exact height needed for the conditions or the skier's preference. It will allow for a 3'' adjustment below the size listed.

Are these poles the Carbon and Red combo?

great poleReview by Noel
some friends like the releasable straps but I didn't. This is balnced, light and has spacer on strap that makes it easy to put on. (Posted on 2/13/2017)
Fantastic polesReview by Craig
These are absolutely fantastic poles. They're light and feel great in the hands. It takes a bit of effort, but the adjustment feature makes them even better - you can go a bit longer or shorter based on the sort of skiing you're doing. I don't think there's a better set of poles available. (Posted on 1/22/2017)
Great ski polesReview by DJski
Great ski poles, the best I've ever used. You can't beat these for price, quality and performance. Unfortunately mine arrived with some scrapes on the handles, maybe were scraped in transit. (Posted on 12/21/2016)

great poles, L9S is awesome...Review by steve. s.
picked these poles up for a great price an L9S. just as light and strong as my other carbon fiber poles (Head Intelligence). as the other reviewer mentioned, BUY A SIZE UP. i originally ordered the 48 inch. the poles do run a little short, so i figured i can extend them up a little if needed... wrong! these poles will only allow you to adjust about 1cm up before the warning marker appears, they will however allow you to shorten the length about 3 inches. i returned the 48's and got the 50's instead. the 50's were perfect. i downsized them a few cm's and they are just right.

a note about L9 sports, these guys are awesome. super nice over the phone, and the return process was the most hassle free return i've ever experienced. great prices, and great service... thank you!! (Posted on 9/28/2016)
Very sturdy , light poles as advertised Review by Geno
Have an older pair of Goode poles so I have been a fan for years . Wanted an upgrade and these ft the bill . Not inexpensive but worth it since you will not be replacing them .

Bought the 48in , Found out they run a little short even with the adjustment screw. Called in , they verified that they run short and shipped me the 50 in. which I adjusted down a bit and are perfect ?

Great product , Great customer service .
Thanks ! (Posted on 7/19/2016)
