The Head REV 98 skis are perfect for that skier who wants a powder-esque ski with unbeatable carving performance. Head is famous for making skis of all widths, shapes and sizes that ensure stable on trail performance. Compared to the Rev 90, The Rev 98 gives the skier some extra girth underfoot for the always sought after powder snow without being too cumbersome for quick turns on hard snow (or ice). The Era 3.0 rocker helps this ski handle end-of-day crud and powder with ease.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Powder Hound: If you use your sick days only when it snows 12'' or more overnight and not when you're actually sick, this ski is probably for you. Powder Hounds are on the search for deep and untouched powder, and fat skis to ski it with.

Expert Binding Choices: Some of the binding options (i.e. the Head GTO 15) available for this ski have high din ranges that start at 8 or 9. A very small percentage of skiers will be suitable for these bindings. If you know that you usually set your din at 8 or above, you are in the clear for a high din binding. Otherwise, those bindings are for EXPERT SKIERS ONLY!

Ideal Target Skier: West Coast All Mountain Skier: Skiers on the west coast will enjoy this ski as an all mountain, do everything model, while skiers on the east coast will find this more suitable for powder skiing, or when there is chopped up crud to be had.

Speed: Very Fast: Skiing at this speed means keeping up with the best skiers on the mountain, while still maintaining control.

Sandwich Construction (SW): SW means that the sides of the skis are a vertical wall rather the the rounded Cap construction forund on most skis. Since none of the skis material needs to be exerting force maintaining shape at the edges, SW skis are stiffer than their Cap counterparts. Most people find SW skis to be damper, that is more glued to the snow, superior at high speed GS turns and top notch at busting through crud or choppy snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.

Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.

Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber: Head combines Rocker for flotation in soft snow, a progressive radius for better edge contact and grip, and shock absorption to dampen vibrations.

Carbon Tech Reinforcement: Special network of carbon fibers with exceptional torsion properties and a balanced stiffness pattern at the same time. This feature will keep the ski rigid and stable without added any extra weight.

Is this a women's model ?
What are the differences between the Rev 98 and the Monster 98?
I am an intermediate skier improving. Based in NZ but heading to Steamboat then Japan next year. 179cm tall and 87kg. Would this ski suit - if so what length.
I am looking for a versatile ski for my son (15 years old, 5 ft 6", 125 lbs). He is an expert who has been racing for 4 years. This would be his first non junior ski. is this going to be too aggressive/stiff for him?

True all mountain, one ski quiver Review by Ski_Enthusiast
Bought these for a true all mountain, one-ski quiver. Ski in the West, these Rev 98's are great! Took everything I threw at them, hard pack groomers in the morning, powder and chop in the afternoon. Handled perfectly, could turn short and carve, or long and easy. Truly the best overall ski I've owned! Sold all my other skis except the true racers (SL & GS). You won't be disappointed with these and Head's quality is second to none. (Posted on 1/9/2015)
