The AdaptEdge 95 flex Series boots allow the skier to quickly change the last width of the ski boot. A single turn of a screw changes the last width from 104mm to 102mm to accommodate differnet foot widths for maximum comfort. Throw in double canting adjustments, cuff adjustment, 4 super high tech buckles, a High Performance HeatFit (HPF) liner, and a triple-injected shell...and well you have one heck of a boot. These boots offer the comfort of a recreational boot and the precise fit of a performance boot, and will grant you the ability to have your cake and eat it, too.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

HeatFit/High Performance HeatFit Liner: Self molding inserts in the liner and tongue quickly adapt to the shape of your feet, just by wearing and skiing them.

Macro adjust ladder: The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs.

Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.

80/90 Flex Rating: This boot has a flex rating in the intermediate to advanced range, and can be adjusted between the two settings.

Tri-Injected Energy Frame Shell: Most ski boots are Bi-Injected into the mold to create two different densities of plastic. Head went ahead and did one better, tri-injection molding. This means there are three levels of plastic density instead of two, meaning the transition from the stiff/dense sole of the boot to the lighter upper-cuff of the boot is more fluid. This in turn makes your skiing smoother and the boot has a more predictable flex throughout all parts of the boot.

Double Power Buckles: Some of the buckles on this boot (usually the top 2) have a metal flip-out that can be extended to give the skier more leverage when clamping it down.

35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.

Adaptive Fit Last 102mm-104mm: Head's newest boot technology is called Adaptive Fit. The Adaptive Fit boots essentially have two lasts, one at 102mm and one at 104mm, and all it requires is the turn of a screw.

Soft Walk Heel: A rubber insert in the heel cushions while walking to get better grip and a more comfortable stride.

Once again I must start by saying the staff is excellent and I think that is why people give such great reviews. However there are some confusing things. 1) The description of a product will often give you a range from the beginner to the intermediate or even from beginner to the advanced level skier. However when you ask the staff they will tell you Otherwise. They might say our description is just a generalization and that particular product is really not meant for the advanced skier. That bothers me just a bit because I am often relying on the description itself and now I have to start my search over again. I do love the web site and how easy it is to use but I think there old site was just a tad better for narrowing down ones choices. Now for the head adapt edge 95. You must be careful when buying this boot. Some sites say it is an 80-90 flex while others say 85-95. The width also differs in description depending on what site you read it on. The staff at level nine told me it should be an 85-95 flex but their description says otherwise and again the same holds true for the width. That being said. I have tried these boots on several times and have had them for a few weeks. They are quite nice. The macro and micro adjustable buckles help to give you true customization. The adjustable flex is easy to do but the boots feel soft to me at either setting and according to the staff you probably won't feel the difference (in the flex). I know that I could not feel a difference in the width either (no matter how many times I adjusted it. However the boots did feel good on my feet. They are quite snug, as they should be. I am a little disappointed because they don't hold my heal down very well, but they are a nice boot. All the adjustments are easy to do and the boot is easy to get on and off. I found these boots on another site for a cheaper price and level nine met that price. Customer service is by far one of the most important things you can get from a company. Products can be picked up anywhere but will the company stand behind their product? I believe they will at Level nine and my experience has been excellent. I would recommend the head adapt edge 95 boot and level nine. It is only $7 (if you use level 9 and UPS) to send back your boots if you don't like them. You can try them on for hours in the comfort of your own home and there is no sales person to pressure you. So why not go for it. (Posted on 8/30/2016)
