Nebula by definition means "a cloud of gas and dust in outer space" which lines up perfectly with the specifications of this ski, in other words, it's very lightweight. Skis that are this lightweight are usually intended for alpine touring, which these definitely are. However, if you plan on only skiing downhill, don't worry, this ski will perform excellently all over the resort. In fact, we recommend this ski to intermediate skiers and have assembled this package with them in mind. The M10.0 EPS bindings from Marker are durable, but help to keep the weight of the package low so your energy levels stay high! The Dalbello 65 is the boot of choice here which sports a comfy 105mm width with a soft 65 flex, just right for beginner to intermediate skiers!

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Details

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Nano Tech Surface: A permeable nonstick surface with similar molecular compounds and structure to that of a skis base material. This allows you to wax and alter the surface with standard ski wax to assure a lightweight nonstick and snow free surface for your trek up.

UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber: Head combines Rocker for flotation in soft snow, a progressive radius for better edge contact and grip, and shock absorption to dampen vibrations.

East Coast All Mountain: A newly defined category for skis that could be generally described as eastern all mountain skis or western groomed run skis. This ski should be mostly carving on groomed runs but can handle the occasional powder and crud.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Happy with fit and equipmentReview by New England Oldster

I'm nearing retirement and have gotten back into skiing. I've been getting on-line tickets with rentals which are pretty cheap but I finally wanted to get my own equipment. I was concerned about buying on-line for the usual reasons. But this really worked out well for me. The boots fit perfectly and the ski's were fine. I'm not trying to go fast anymore just cruising and having fun. The package came right on time and the ski's were ready right out the box. I went skiing in NH on 40" of new snow the day after the package arrived. Thanks. It's nice when things work out. (Posted on 2/22/2017)

My order was received right on time. The boots fit right and are as rated , a semi soft intermediate flex. The skis are super light which translates to extremely bouncy and chattery at medium to higher speeds. I suppose these are not the proper skis for me on fast conditions. The colors make the skis easy to locate on the rack. I will be upgrading as soon as I return from my trip to Colorado (Posted on 2/5/2017)
