Nebula by definition means "a cloud of gas and dust in outer space" which lines up perfectly with the specifications of this ski, in other words, it's very lightweight. Skis that are this lightweight are usually intended for alpine touring, which these definitely are. However, if you plan on only skiing downhill, don't worry, this ski will perform excellently all over the resort. The Nebula's are equipped with Head's Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber which allows the ski to float in soft snow AND hold an edge on groomers. One nice feature on this ski is the Nano Tech Topsheet Surface that keeps snow from sticking to your skis, keeping those fresh blue and yellow graphics so the world can see.
Free Binding Mounting: We will mount your ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.
Nano Tech Surface: A permeable nonstick surface with similar molecular compounds and structure to that of a skis base material. This allows you to wax and alter the surface with standard ski wax to assure a lightweight nonstick and snow free surface for your trek up.
UHM C Base: The most durable, quickest base material on the market. It requires very little maintenance and allows your skis to do what they are made to do until you decide you've hit so many rocks that it needs a tune.
Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.
Era 3.0 Rocker/Camber: Head combines Rocker for flotation in soft snow, a progressive radius for better edge contact and grip, and shock absorption to dampen vibrations.
East Coast All Mountain: A newly defined category for skis that could be generally described as eastern all mountain skis or western groomed run skis. This ski should be mostly carving on groomed runs but can handle the occasional powder and crud.
Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.
