The Head Next Edge 90 is a boot that will fit comfortably enough for beginners and intermediates, but offers enough response and adjust-ability to scale all the way up to more casual advanced skiers. The 102mm last width along with a heat-moldable HeatFit liner make this boot comfortable for nearly any shape of foot, most of the times right out of the box. If it doesn't fit like a dream immediately (and it will), there are dual canting adjustments and buckle adjustments that can dial in a perfect fit. It is rare that such comfortable boots have such a high end feature set. Head Edge boots will always be a Level9 staple, for many reasons.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Details

Macro adjust ladder: The tooth plate opposite the top buckles can be moved in or out for a huge range of adjustment, and to fit narrow to wide lower legs.

102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.

35mm strap: Wider than average strap at the top of the boot to help keep the boot together and to give good performance while skiing.

90 Flex rating: This boot has a flex rating in the intermediate to advanced range and is generally too stiff for beginners to lean on properly and too soft for experts to ski at top speeds.

Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Tri-Injected Energy Frame Shell: Most ski boots are Bi-Injected into the mold to create two different densities of plastic. Head went ahead and did one better, tri-injection molding. This means there are three levels of plastic density instead of two, meaning the transition from the stiff/dense sole of the boot to the lighter upper-cuff of the boot is more fluid. This in turn makes your skiing smoother and the boot has a more predictable flex throughout all parts of the boot.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Soft Walk Heel: A rubber insert in the heel cushions while walking to get better grip and a more comfortable stride.

Hi, I see you have just two remaining sizes of this 2015 model: 25.0 and 25.5. Is the boot shell the same on both, with the only difference being the liners, or is the 25.5 actually a larger shell than the 25.0? I have relatively small feet (US mens 8), and if the shells are the same, I'd opt for the 25.0 size as the liner will probably pack out a bit after a couple seasons (I ski 20-30 days/season). Being 1800 miles away, I'm unable to visit the store to try it on. Thanks!

Hello, I am looking for Ski boots. I am a female and nowhere here on the add I can find whether these are for men or women... Can you help me with that?
