Pez are and forever will be popular for one reason: their dispensers (come on, we all know they must be chewable vitamins posing as "candy".) The Head Pez Team skis are for fans of PEZ and candy in general (every single kid ever.) They are multi colored which gives the ski a fun look and will work for both boys and girls. The binding included in this package is the LRX 4.5 which is adjustable to most kid's boot sizes with the flip of a switch. The adjustability of this package is off the charts with the Roces Adjustable ski boots which are perhaps the best invention in kid's skiing ever. Note: The 107cm and 117cm sizes are not compatible with Small Roces and the 87cm is not compatible with the Large Roces Boots.

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Active Camber: In a world of early rise, rocker, and reverse camber, there still is a need for traditional full camber skis. The edge grip and stability is unmatched on groomed snow. This ski gets maximum edge to the snow, so it helps skiers skiing the firm stuff, or just prefer the 'feel' of traditional camber skis.

Twin Tip Skis: Not just for spinning 360s in the park any more. These ski have turned up tails, aka twin tips. While they will definitely aid you in hurling those aforementioned 360s, they also do many other things. They make landing jumps and skiing backwards smoother, but they also ski better in trees and tight situations where the reduced running length add to mobility. In fact the only downside to twin tips is that they don't perform true full arced carving turns as well as traditional skis. But hey, the world has evolved to doing more than simple carving so maybe you should too.

Product Questions

HI there, Kust a question about boot sizing. My daughters feet at 21.5cm long without socks on so I'm wondering what size I should get for her? I'm thinking wiht socks the 19-22 Roces will be too small before the end of winter but I'm wondering whetehr the 22.5 - 25.5 will be too big?
My son needs the 19-22 boot size & 117cm ski. Can you make up a pez ski package: skis, bindings, boots & poles?

Great ski valueReview by Gonzo_55
I purchased the skis and boots for my 6-year old, we were able to get out for a few days of skiing and she loved the skis and boots. For three days she enjoyed telling me how warm her feet were. The boots were simple to adjust and look like they will work for a few years. In the past we have rented skis and boots, but this was so much better. (Posted on 1/18/2017)
