The Head PEZ Team Junior package is great for young skiers with a sweet-tooth. Head decided to use the "breakfast cereal strategy": get the kid's attention by featuring skiing candies and a familiar logo on the ski. Giving in to this request isn't an unhealthy choice (besides the cause of future PEZ cravings) but will be a great choice for your progressing junior skier. The skis come with the LRX 4.5 binding included which are both black and adjustable to most kid's boot sizes. Roces boots are also included in this package price which are adjustable to 6 different sizes in each boot. The 137cm size is only compatible with the Large Roces Boots (22.5-25.5).

Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Package Information: We provide complete binding adjustment to all packages purchased at no extra cost to you. After you complete checkout and payment a mounting form will popup for you to enter the skier information to go along with this purchase. Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Active Camber: In a world of early rise, rocker, and reverse camber, there still is a need for traditional full camber skis. The edge grip and stability is unmatched on groomed snow. This ski gets maximum edge to the snow, so it helps skiers skiing the firm stuff, or just prefer the 'feel' of traditional camber skis.

Glossy Topsheet: The finish of this ski is glossy to help keep snow from sticking to it and to look pretty fancy.

Tip Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip increase the durability of the skis and reduce the likelihood of a delamination. Your tips are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. If the tip protectors get damaged, it is not as big a deal as if it were to happen to the actual skis themselves.

Hi trying to decide between 127cm and 117cm for my daughter. She can ski blacks when she's feeling good. If there's ice she gets cautious. She is 57inches tall but only weighs 55lbs. She would prob feel more comfortable with shorter ski but is 117 too short?

Hello
I would like to buy ski packages for my three sons, 2x 5yo and 1x 7yo (8 when he will ski this year). They all have a wide foot and can find the wrong fit boot uncomfortable...found out with my son in tears when he borrowed a pair the right size...no issues with hire boots to date.
Can you please let me know which ski boots we should choose and which not too.
Many thanks

My son got this set for Christmas and he has used them several times already. Absolutely great. The boots are comfortable and warm, the skis are durable and turn excellent and he gets compliments on the slopes from all who see him. I recommend them to everyone I know! (Posted on 1/5/2017)

Pros: Great looking skis

We bought this ski package for my dtr. Love the look of the skis and they have been performing fine so far (usd 4x this season). Had an issue with the sizing of the boots and bindings after delivery however Jon and Witt were very responsive to our concerns and the issue was resolved satisfactorily. Was a bit hesitant to order online but now that we've gone through it would certainly buy from level 9 again. They stand behind their products and will make it right for you if there are any problems. They have earned my trust, and my business. (Posted on 1/10/2015)

My 8yr old loved his skis, they drew a few admiring comments. Skis performed well, as did bindings. Boots were warm & comfortable and he skied happily for nine days non-stop. (Posted on 8/3/2014)
