Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Package Information: We provide complete binding adjustment to all packages purchased at no extra cost to you. After you complete checkout and payment a mounting form will popup for you to enter the skier information to go along with this purchase. If you don't know all the information required, Please fill out the form to the best of your ability.

If you do not see what you need in a package you can still choose your items a la carte (don't fret you are still saving money just by shopping with us). We can still mount the bindings, and if you are getting a boot from us we will set the din release values so your skis boots and bindings will be ready to ski upon arrival.

GPO 100 Adjustable Bindings Included: This ski comes with a GPO 100 adjustable binding pre-mounted (Look NX 10 Demo2 rebranded to match the skis). This is a fully adjustable binding (258-386mm, 23-32 Mondo Size) made by Look, an internationally renowned binding manufacturer known for their trusted, safe and durable design. They have a DIN range that goes from 3-10 which is great for all not-so-aggressive adult skiers.

Speed: Moderate: The speed at which an intermediate skier travels, Moderate means they like to ski faster than beginners, but are never the fastest skiers on a run.

Ideal Target Skier: Casual Cruiser: Sticking mainly to the groomed runs and always keeping speed in check, a Casual Cruiser doesn't even bother with the off trail snow, moguls, jumps, etc.

Mondo Half and Whole Sizes: There is no fit difference between half and whole mondo sizes. So, a man who wears a size 9 or 9.5 US shoe size can choose a size 27.0 or 27.5. Some of our boots are only available in the half size, don't be alarmed, just remember they are the same size so you can select either one worry free.

Early Rise: Somewhere between rocker and traditional sits the Early Rise. This helps the tip of the ski get up in softer snow, and still maintains good edge grip and firm snow performance.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Tip Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip increase the durability of the skis and reduce the likelihood of a delamination. Your tips are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. If the tip protectors get damaged, it is not as big a deal as if it were to happen to the actual skis themselves.

GPO by Gaspo Skis: GPO is an Austrian Ski manufacturer that prides itself in producing the highest quality skis for all ability levels. They incorporate only the best materials in their ski construction to ensure an exceptional skiing experience. Haven't heard of GPO before? Well don't be alarmed they are made with just as much care and attention to detail as any of the European brands you might be familiar with such as Head, Fischer, Atomic or Dynastar.

Fiberglass Coque with Speed Inserts: A layer of fiberglass stringer inserts that run the length of the ski. This feature helps liven up the ski, providing a snappy response in and out of turns and added stability when skiing a higher speeds. The Coque really knocks this ski up a few notches in term of performance and durability.

Full Length Rubber Suspension Steel Edges: Hard steel edges, secured to the ski with a rubber material that offers some shock absorption so the edges won't pull out of the ski or crack upon impact.

I'm 5'7'' and wear a size 9.5 shoe (US men's) What size skis should I get and what size boots? Should I go up a size on boots if I plan to wear heavy socks (not sure if boots tend to run big or small, and whether I need to account for heavy socks). Thanks.

Great!Review by New Skiier
Our daughter opened this Christmas gift early to hit the slopes with a bunch of friends. Everything worked perfect! Staff was super helpful with walking me through binding settings, when our package arrived, everything was ready to go, fit and worked well. Her beginners experience was improved a ton in just one night ski!! And the experienced guy with her said he thought her set up would last her a long time. We're so happy!! (Posted on 12/14/2016)

Cons: Maybe not expert level equipment

The ski-bindings-boot package is exactly as described. Great for beginners to mid-intermediates. The boots are very comfortable. The skis and bindings are solid (probably not for bombers, but you might increase your speed with the right hot wax). Worth the price. (Posted on 12/5/2014)
