This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Description

Details

100mm last: A performance width for advanced recreational skiers all the way up to expert level skiers. This is also suitable for skiers with narrower than average feet.

110 Flex Rating: This boot is too stiff for beginners, and would be a very aggressive fit for intermediates. 110 flex is going to be a stiff and performance oriented shell that is recommend for advanced/expert skiers who need a very responsive boot.

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Double Canting: Two adjustment bolts, one each side of the ankle, allow for maximum adjustment for leg/knee alignment problems. The canting helps the skis stay flat on the ground while you are still bow-legged or knock-kneed.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

45mm Strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.

Padded Mid Grip Sole: Dual injected Thermo Plastic Urethane in the middle of the boot sole for added grip and traction while walking on rocks or riding on snowmobiles.

LuxFit Intuituion Liner Included: The LuxFit INTUITION® heat-moldable liner combines the performance and fit of a traditional PVC liner with the benefits of strategically placed ULTRALON EVA foam. Lasted for a precise “out-of-the-box” fit, the LuxFit INTUITION® also includes heat-Moldable Asymmetric Tongues to reduce shin bang and ensure smooth, precise flex initiation. The Power Wedge and Power Collar offer varied forward lean and the upper cuff support needed for taking advantage of challenging conditions.

Energy Interlock System: A rivet-free technology that locks the cuff and shell in both the forward and aft direction. This fundamental technology gives the boots life and power ideal for all-mountain and freeride skiing where you encounter a wide variety of conditions and terrain. When the boot flexes forward, the Interlock stretches, creating a buildup of energy. This not only puts lower stresses on the boot material but also produces a smoother, more efficient load transfer, delivering a more natural flex and dynamic performance in all conditions.

Power Wedge Spoiler: A removable spoiler that accommodates varying calf shapes and adjusting desired forward lean angle. The power wedge increases forward lean by two degrees, moving the angle 12 to 14 degrees.

Powerfuse Spyne Tech: A rear co-injected shaped design that adds strength and power to the Energy Interlock, the PowerFuse SpYne maximizes fore/aft flex efficiency and lateral stiffness for sustained performance and responsiveness in all terrain. Because of the SpYne, we are able to optimize materials in the cuff and shell, eliminating excessive vibrations in rough terrain.

I wish I could swing by and try these on! I work 8 blocks from your store. I'm getting back into skiing after 10 years of snowboarding. I grew up skiing in Vermont and feel comfortable with my skill, and I expect to be riding black diamonds comfortably after a day or two of acclimation. Would these be a good buy? And is a 27.5 going to work for a size 9.5/10 street shoe? I have heard good things about the Spyne and hope they fit. How does this boot fit? Is it narrow? Will it be too advanced for someone getting back into skiing? I like fairly technical terrain (bumps, trees, etc). Thanks!

I was looking for a fairly close fit boot with all day comfort, and I seem to have found it. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the K2 boots in general. The liner is excellent. The flex is nice and consistent. The power strap can be worn under or over the shell. All buckles and straps of the boot can be removed with the included tools.

In terms of fit I would say they fit a bit narrower and a bit less volume then other comparable medium width boots, but I was able to achieve comfort by molding the liner.

All in all, really great value for what you get with this boot for the price. (Posted on 2/23/2017)

This will be part one of a two-part review. Just received the boots yesterday with a very fast shipping from level nine. I tried the boots on, and initially very comfortable very snug and maybe a little too snug in the calf. But I do have big calves. I'm expecting the boot to compress a little with the heat fitting and after a couple days of skiing. I will follow up to review but so far the boots feel like they will perform well, comfortable fairly stiff and good feeling. I've been away from skiing for 25 years, and this boot feels more like the boots I'm accustomed to versus the rental slushy boots. Excited. (Posted on 2/2/2017)

Really like this boot. The intuition liner is excellent. I tried on about 10 different pairs of boots before deciding on this boot. Price was a big part of that, but comfort and performance are A+. Excellent boot and excellent price. (Posted on 2/1/2017)
