The K2 Bolt Jr. skis inherited all of the best qualities from its Precision Piste counterpart: rock solid construction, shape, and profile. Expert accuracy and unshakable hold at high speeds make this the ultimate high-speed ski for ripping intermediate to expert junior skiers. This ski was built with K2's Speed Rocker which is slight early rise in the tips, mainly to allow the skier to turn more quickly. That's what this ski does best: perfect turns on groomers while going fast. This is a great ski for young racers who want an all mountain alternative to the stiff race stock skis they're used to.

Details

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: East Coast Hardpack Lover: This is an excellent ski for East Coast skiers that ski aggressively on the hardpack while still getting off trail a bit. West Coast skiers: this is a carving ski that should only be brought out when the powder is gone and its time to rip the groomers.

Skier Ability: Intermediate to Advanced: Sometimes these skiers are intermediate, and on a good day, they are advanced, but hard to commit to one level. They can ski most places on the mountain, sometimes with a little difficulty, but always making it down without crying and calling ski patrol.

K2 Speed Rocker: 10% TIP ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility
90% CAMBER: Control, edge hold, rebound

This slightly elevated tip and increased tip length provides effortless initiation and flawless transitions, while camber along the rest of the running surface delivers precision, power, and edge-hold.
Simply put, Speed Rocker offers high performance precision and edge hold on firm snow.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Sintered Base: The material used for the base is harder, and therefore more durable than other options (Extruded). This material should be waxed regularly for best performance.

Tri-axial Fiberglass: A weave of fiberglass with three directional orientation provides excellent strength to weight ratio and better torsional stiffness as compared to bi-axial weaves.

Hybritech Sidewall: Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.

Metal Tip Protectors: These skis have rugged tip protectors made of metal that will help fight against chipping and damage to the tips, which is both a performance and cosmetic benefit.
