K2 Fatty 88 Snowblades w/ Bindings 2017

4 Review(s) | Add Your Review | International Availability
Snowblades took the ski industry by storm in the early 2000's and people still love to ride them to this day. These mini-skis provide an alternative to your long skis and allow you to get a little funkier while skiing. They are a great tool to learn how to properly carve a ski and they only 88cm long, so tricks are much easier to nail down. These bad larrys are 85mm wide and come with a non-releaseable snowblade binding that's adjustable without a tool from 20.5-30.5 ski boot sizes. Clip on the Fatty's and get to cruising down your favorite runs!

Snowblades are easy to learn on, easy to control, and particularly fun to play around on for anyone, even experienced skiers. The short length makes the experience like a hybrid between rollerblading or ice skating and traditional skiing, where the edging and turning is similar, but everything is shorter and quicker. Navigating hairy terrain like bumps and trees is a breeze in these little sticks, as is jumping and spinning in the terrain park. We recommend these to anyone interested; advanced skiers looking for a fun change of pace could find it here, beginners looking for something to build confidence could find it here, and literally everyone in between.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Adjustable Snowblade Bindings Included: These blades come with K2 adjustable snowblade bindings that are premounted to the ski. They can adjust tool free between 20.5 and 30.5 mondo ski boot sizes. Disclaimer: These bindings are non-releasable which means they won't pop off when you fall.

Sintered Base: The material used for the base is harder, and therefore more durable than other options (Extruded). This material should be waxed regularly for best performance.

Wood Core: The standard core which has throughout time provided the best performance and durability. Each model may have it's own density level to help define flex and maximum speed but every wood core ski will be solid.

Great skis, highly recommendReview by Victor
The Powder Man from previous review have NO CLUE what he is talking. I can see from his post, that he have zero experience with any ski blades. Please disregard his post as totally false.
Excellent ski blades, easy to learn, easy and fun to ski, easy to transport and carry, and easy to store out of season.
Highly recommend! (Posted on 3/26/2017)
ExcellentReview by Patrick Michael
I'm not sure if these are NOS from 2008 someone found in a warehouse or a new production run for 2017. There is nothing listed about them bringing the FATTY back on the K2 site. So, I'm thinking it's old stock. Either way, I purchased (3) set since they have been impossible to find up to this point.

Easy transaction. Lightning fast shipping. New blades, shrink wrapped in original factory K2 boxes. (Posted on 2/3/2017)
DangerousReview by The Powder Man
They have no releasable bindings. Very dangerous and asking for a broken leg(spiral fracture of the tib/fib which is a massive exceptionally painful injury). There's a reason many ski resorts stopped renting them. People were breaking their legs. Only get a pair of snow blades with a releasable binding. Even with short length it's still enough leverage to break your leg since the binding won't release if you catch an edge. (Posted on 1/28/2017)
