Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.
K2 All Terrain Rocker: 20% Tip Rocker, 10% Tail Rocker, 70% Camber. All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Tri-axial Fiberglass: A weave of fiberglass with three directional orientation provides excellent strength to weight ratio and better torsional stiffness as compared to bi-axial weaves.
K2 Bioflex 3 Wood Core: Bioflex 3 – 80% Aspen/20% Paulownia – Increased performance, strength, and durability.
BioFlex cores are comprised of strong Aspen wood underfoot, which is fused with lightweight Paulownia in the tip and tail using a specific interlocking pattern that reduces swing-weight and provides a smooth-flexing ski.
Tip Rocker: This refers to the early rising of the tip to get the ski on top of the soft snow, rather than pushing through it. When the skis are held with the bases together, it will look like the tips are bent, and spread away from eachother. Tip rocker also helps skiers pivot the skis, making tight trees remarkably easy, and gives the ski a surf-like feel.
Tail Rocker: Just like Tip rocker, but in the tail, this feature allows the tails of the skis to release easier from the turn to give the skier the ability to turn the skis quicker in tight spots. It also allows skiers to dump speed by forcing the tails out and sliding sideways. The effective edge is reduced because of the tail rocker, so the skis will also be easier to control when forced to ski on the groomed slopes.
Absorb Twintech Sidewall: This construction sandwiches a urethane layer in between ABS for shock ABSorption, lessening the impact of harsh landings. Urethane is used underfoot to maximize the dampening, but ABS is used toward the tip and tail to maximize performance and edge control.
Tapered Tip and Tail: These skis are designed with not just a tapered tip, but also a slight amount of taper in the tail. A tapered tip shifts the widest part of the contact further back to reduce tip weight and deflection in soft and variable snow conditions. The tapered tail allows more control as you exit the turn to either accelerate out or scrub speed as the conditions dictate.
