Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Free Binding Mounting: We will mount you ski bindings for free whenever you order skis and bindings. If you order boots, too, we can adjust them so they are ready to hit the slopes right out of the box! Just be sure to fill out the mounting form that comes up after checkout.

Ideal Target Skier: Developing Young Skier: Anywhere from first timers to advanced youth skiers, that still have a lot to learn about skiing. They might ski fast sometimes, and have a blast, but aren't comfortable with some areas of the mountain.

K2 Catch-Free Rocker: 20% ROCKER: Easy initiation, versatility, agility, 80% CAMBER: Control, edge-hold, rebound This elevated tip and tail assures effortless initiation at slow speeds, stability throughout the turn, and a predictable release from the turn. Simply put, Catch-free Rocker provides confidence, control, and ease for developing skiers.

Cap Construction: The topsheet of this ski drapes over the edge to form a clean and rounded finish to the side of the ski. This style of construction adds some torsional rigidity, and helps reduce topsheet chipping when the skis hit each other.

Tip Protectors: Plastic protectors on the tip increase the durability of the skis and reduce the likelihood of a delamination. Your tips are the most likely edges to get cracked, keep 'em safe with tip protectors and your skis will last for a long long time. If the tip protectors get damaged, it is not as big a deal as if it were to happen to the actual skis themselves.

Textured Surface: Ideal for repelling wear and tear on the skis surface. Textured ski surfaces (aka snakeskin topsheet) are rough surfaces to the ski that hide or repel scratches keep your skis look new long after they are not. Originally designed for rental skis for obvious reasons, this surface is now available on a wide variety of retail skis as well since everyone likes their skis to look nice.

Great packageReview by Laura
I bought this package for my 5 and 7 year old sons. The equipment looks sharp. We choose these skis bacause they are a little more unisex so their little sister will not mind using them when she grows into them. We just got back from the boys first ski trip and they had a blast. We skied two days and the equipment held up great. The equipment took a beating but still look brand new. We watched the "teaching kids how to ski videos" and ended up not needing to put them in lessons. We only need to ski 2 more times until the skis pay for themselves by not having to rent, plus the time we saved not having to rent was great. The boots are awesome. They should easily fit at least 2 more seasons. My boys took great pride in having their own gear. They practiced for weeks in the house which really helped once we hit the slopes. This was well worth it and we will be coming back for more as they grow! (Posted on 2/7/2017)
Great, affordable ski packageReview by Beth
My son loves his new skis and boots! He's 5 years old, and this is his second season. He quickly adjusted to the longer length and the skis seem to turn easily enough. We had some icy conditions last weekend, and they handled better than I'd expect for a kid ski! They look nice and are lightweight. My son says the boots are "super comfy"-- and they're easy to get on and off; he can do it by himself. With the expandable boot, I hope they will fit next season-- if not, the adjustable size will certainly allow for his younger sibling to fit in them. (Posted on 1/19/2017)
Great package, fantastic price!Review by SL
Bought for my 6 year old who graduated from ski school. Spent 3 days working on her s-turns on these with no issues. Solid package at an incredible price which we'll easily break even on in 1 season while saving us the time and hassle of going through rentals. Especially love the Roces adjustable boots which should give us a couple years of mileage. (Posted on 1/15/2017)
Perfect beginner package Review by JC_Smith
We purchased this package for my 6 year old daughter and it was exactly what we needed. The adjustable boots will grow with her for another year or two and the ski/binding combo provided everything we need and seem durable and are lightweight. All together perfect starter package for your new and/or beginner skier. (Posted on 1/7/2017)
