Lange XT 130 LV FreeTour Ski Boots 2018

SKU: LXT13017
If you can’t choose between the backcountry and hotlapping your favorite resort, you don’t need to thanks to the Lange XT 130 Low Volume Freetour Ski Boots. Use either touring AT tech bindings or alpine type. These boots just don’t care! They have all the trappings of a serious no compromise touring specific boot, but they jive with any WTR, MNC, or adjustable AFD type alpine binding. Their WTR Rocker, Ultra Grip soles inspire confidence high atop the most jagged of terrain – but meanwhile work with your resort skis! A range of motion of 40 degrees ensures lengthy glides with you’re your skins on, and effortless bootpacking on the steeps. Clocking in at just 1770g, they get you to backcountry lines without tiring you out. Good thing too, because you will be able to tackle legendary lines with a true 130 flex mustered by the Grilamid shell construction. Plus, with 97mm, low-volume last gives a precision fit you can appreciate without necessarily having a narrow foot.

This chart provides a safe comfortable size that most all skiers will be able to use. If you are looking for a true skier's performance fit you may want to size down one half to one full size smaller. For most ski boots, the full (.0) size uses the same shell and liner as the half (.5) size (like, 25.0 and 25.5) and will have almost an identical fit.

Description

Details

130 Flex Rating: Higher than average stiffness means you should be skiing pretty fast to warrant a boot of this flex.

2.0 Ski/Hike System with Power V-Lock: Lange's patented new technology opens up a greater range of movement (40°) in "hike" mode to increase mobility on ascents, while a new metal-on-metal locking mechanism for the shell and cuff in "ski" mode paves the way for a whole new level of performance and power on descents.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Ultra Grip Soles: Vulcanized rubber soles providing maximum traction and grip for hiking and walking.

WTR Rocker Soles: "Walk to Ride" Rocker soles comply with ISO 9523 and provide additional walkability without compromising binding release and downhill performance. WTR soles are compatible with ISO 13992 Touring Bindings; ISO 9423 WTR Bindings; and Look Dual WTR bindings.

45mm Strap: Super wide strap found on high performance boots. The extra width spreads out the force while skiing and reduces the pressure point on the upper shin.

Natural Stance : The forward lean of this boot is much less exaggerated than boots in the past. By providing a more neutral upright stance, the boot compliments modern rocker and shape skis that don't require increased forward lean.

Micro-adjustable aluminum buckles: These aluminum buckles can be moved to adjust for size, so if the default position of the buckle and the teeth is too wide or too narrow, you can move it until it fits.

Custom Tongue: Tongue padding features a hollow instep area to guarantee maximum customization to the skiers' instep. More comfort, more warmth, more ski control.

97mm Last: This width is pretty narrow, and is reserved for skiers with narrow feet or skiers with wider feet and a high level of pain threshold. The narrower than average width aids in quicker response between the skier and skis.

Tongue Pull: A loop of fabric at the top of the tongue helps in putting on and removing the boots. Pull it forward and to the side and your foot should slide right in.

Arch Pad: The arch of the shell features a high grip insert to maximize grip and traction when hiking on rocks or slippery surfaces.
