Atomic Backland FR Series Women's skis: handle whatever the mountain throws at you.

The Atomic Backland FR 109 Skis are my go-to ski for rippin' all over the mountain. I wanted to get a wider ski that could play in the powder yet offer precise control for groomers. The Backland FR 109 does just that, thanks to its unique HRZN Technology, that utilizes the design of a boat hull, so you can glide through the powder and crush through choppy conditions easily. The Step Down Sidewall 2.0 with Carbon Backbone construction provides stability with great edge control on hardpack. I have enjoyed the skis so far and they have exceeded my expectations. They give you the fun playful, surfy feel in the pow, handle high speed without chattering, and manage variable conditions effortlessly, making it a really reliable ski. I am 5'1, weigh 110 lbs and purchased the 159cm length and think it's the perfect fit for me with how rockered and stiff it is. I would recommend the 109 as a daily driver for the west where it could function as a one ski quiver for advanced ladies. With a variety of waist widths to choose from in the Backland Series, you can easily choose one perfect for what kind of terrain you will be riding. Overall, the Backland series will not disappoint thanks to it's versatility and dependability to get you where you want.
