Hats and Knits

Hats and Knits

It is usually pretty cold when you go skiing or snowboarding, and sometimes even colder before and after you hit the slopes. So, wearing a hat is pretty important in keeping you warm and happy.

Studies show that 85% of your body heat escapes from your head. Studies also show that 72% of all statistics are made up on the spot, but you still better wear a hat.

You really should be wearing a helmet when riding, as hats have zero protection against a fall or a tree, even if you have a thick wool hat. So save the hats to hide the fact that you haven't showered since you left on your ski trip 3 days ago.

Common accessories that you might find with such stylish hats are knitted wool gloves and mittens. Although they are warm while doing daily activities, they are not designed for skiing and snowboarding. Wind and water resistance are not even thought of when these were made, so stay away from them when it comes time to ski.
