Ski poles are your friends. They help you maintain proper form and balance, as well as help you get across the flat spots. The only people that shouldn't use poles are kids that cannot parallel yet, true beginners, snowboarders, and park skiers that desperately need to look like snowboarders. So if you aren't one of these categories, you should be using poles.
Sizing poles is easy. Just use the ski pole Sizing chart to give you a good estimate of what length of poles you should be using.
Ideally, your arm should be parallel to the ground when you grasp the pole (with the tip up) below the basket.

There are cases when you can go longer or shorter than what the chart recommends:

  • If you are a bump skier, you should size down 2-8 inches.
  • If you want an aggressive stance for steeps and higher speed skiing, size down 2 inches.
  • If you are doing a lot of park skiing, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you Telemark, size down 2-6 inches
  • If you are powder skiing a lot, size up 2 inches.
  • If you are ski jousting, size up 4-12 inches

We have thousands of poles to choose from, and if we don't have your size, any of our poles are easy to cut to length.

Master your rail game with the Line Honey Bee. Bred from the tough as nails Honey Badger, the Honey Bee brings the lean-mean-machine badger attitude into a ski just for ladies. The nearly symmetrical shape and soft, playful flex let you create your own playground on the mountain. While an Aspenlite core keeps 'em light and easy to throw around. The Defiance 12 or D12 (much akin to Eminem's band) is an excellent addition to this package. These bindings are made specifically for L9 sports and has all the DIN safety features you expect in a modern binding with some extra tech that makes these bindings transfer power from your boot to the ski with ease. The Alpina Ruby 65 Heat boots win the award for most comfortable boots in our selection mainly because they have heat built in! Why it's taken so long for the ski industry to figure this out is beyond us, but here you have it. The Ruby 65 is a ladies specific boot so it has been designed from the ground up for women with features like a volume control regulator in the rear to accommodate varying calf sizes and a narrower heel pocket. This boot features Alpina's InTemp heating system which utilizes coils that wrap around the foot on the liner's interior with three temperature settings to keep those toes warm in any weather conditions. A roomy 104mm last with a 65 flex makes it ideal for progressing skiers who want a comfortable boot. Find yourself buzzin' in the park with the Honey Bee Women's complete ski package.

Skis:

Aspenlite Core: 100% Aspen for the lightest, most nimble feel.

Line Symmetric Flex: The same ski flex in-front and behind your boot conforms to terrain for equally performance riding forward & backwards.

Line 5Cut Design: 5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control & unlimited turn shapes.

Fatty Base and Edge: 30% thicker & edge dramatically increases durability & tuning life.

4D Fibercap: 4-Directions of fiberglass reinforcement around the core for durability and a super light & responsive feel.

Boots:

102mm last: Slightly wider than average to give a great fit for most skiers. This last was designed to fit pretty much everyone, but really wide feet, or the opposite, should look for different lasts more appropriate for their foot types.

65 Flex Index: This boot has a flex index of 65, which is best for beginner to intermediate skiers. A boot of this flex will be more comfortable and generally lighterweight than a stiffer boot, but will be less responsive while skiing at high speeds.

Alpina Sizing : Alpina boots mondo to US shoe sizing conversion is a little different from most other brands. Please make sure to refer to the sizing chart in order to find your correct size.

Alpina InTemp: The new Alpina InTemp integrated heating system keeps your feet comfortably warm at all times, but never overheated. Charging is simple and doesn’t require removing the battery as it’s integrated inside the boot, protected from outside agents.Ready to use with a simple push of a button, it operates full-power for a limited time and automatically returns to normal power.

Alpina Volume Control Plate: We can adjust the volume of the liner for young skiers and at the same time improve grip. By alternating the specially designed plastic Volume Control Plate (VCP) between the left and right boots, we can adjust the size of the boot. This allows young skiers to use the same ski boots for a longer period of time.

Replaceable Toe and Heel Pads: This is a must-have for skiers that don't live in ski in/ski out condos. When your ski tech tells you that you have to buy new boots because the soles are worn down too much, just laugh at him and tell him to order you a new set of sole plates.

Bindings:

Duracoating: A protective seal on the binding to help reduce wear for looks and performance.

Full Diagonal Toe: Intelligent 180degree release action both horizontally and vertically. Maximum safety in backwards crash situations.

LX Toe with TRP System: It looks slick, but more importantly, allows up to 30% greater retention force without compromising safety. There are 4 rollers at the toe that remain flexible (spring loaded) at all times to keep the boot centered and to absorb sharp impacts.

LD Series Binding/Brake: We are designating these LD series bindings/brake arms. To help avoid the confusion about which brake arms work with which bindings. All LD series parts will have this description and be accessible from the link at the beginning of this paragraph.

Wide Teflon AFD: A wider than average AFD transmits more force to the edge of the ski, and reduces or eliminates the rolling of the boot when engaged in the binding.
